Take care here. I found the body of a wolf just inside the forest. Well, some of the body of a wolf. Something had removed most of it . And I found rabbit droppings the size of golf balls .

*puts the flask back in the DFB and walks over to the tree* removes some of the covering of snow and bracken* connects the ring on the cargo net and prepaares to lift the tree*

*Almost jumps off the horse at the sudden appearance of GL.*
Garius! Couldn't you try and war me before doing that, maybe fly around me 3 times?

*Whistles "Epona's Song" again. It seems especially fitting for the situation*

*sensing something warm against her chest*

*pulls out a silver chain from inside her shirt, with her elf emerald attached to the chain*

*the emerald is pulsating a green light*

*Regards the stone nervously*

Er. That's good, right?

*holds onto Tommy's reins a little more firmly*

There is an odd smell in the air, perhaps it's just more snow on the way.

*frowns*

That light seems to indicate a Presence... *looks around* ...but not necessarily a physical one...

It's not those Webjello s again, is it?

I don't see anything nearby, how far a distance does that emerald work at, T?

Now I've got that melody stuck in my head. Anybody remember the verse with the kraken?

*the gnus, which have been following the posse along the other side of the fence, suddenly wheel and gallop away, with a lot of grunting*

*all the horses shy and mill about as they tighten formation of their own accord*

*Bonnie and Clyde both transform, sprout wings, and leap into the air, hissing, as three killer rabbits emerge onto the road ahead of the group. One of the killer rabbits is wearing a crossbow bolt in its ear*

Oh Lor'!


Lock and load, good buddy. I'll make sure you're pointed in the right direction.

*Grabs his crossbow (the full size one) and loads a bolt, pointing it at the rabbit with the earring.*

Ah! My apparent nemesis!

*falls back behind the others, much to Ferrari's disgust*

No! No charging! I'm not carrying a sabre. Now hold still so I can aim. *unholsters the nanogun and sets it to CURARE DART, then takes aim and fires at a killer bunny that seems to be lunging upward at Bonnie and Clyde*

*Lets loose with his crossbow which somehow misses the target.*

Damn!

*Begins reloading.*

*Affy seems more comfortable with his horse suddenly sprouting wings and taking to the air than he did with his horse leaping over the log. From above, he shoots at one of the rabbits below with the Snowzar function in his Gauntlet. Since it's currently set to ten minutes, this would effectively entrap the killer rabbit in ice for ten minutes, for those who've not yet seen a Snowzar in action*

* at the s, but rather relieved that Tommy is still a Clydesdale with his hooves on the ground*

*rummages for her carameliser, hoping the new modifications work, adjusts the flame to 'medium distance', presses the ignote button and a narrow, focused jet of flame shoots out from the carameliser*

Drat! I wasn't expecting trouble this soon!

*quickly chooses among the arrows in her quiver*

*the stearing feathers seem to be colour coded*

*picks three arrows with red feathers that will cause a nasty burn*

*aims carefully and shoots off all three of them in one go à la Robin Hood*

*elsewhere, Amy sets off with the tree, flying IFR^ at a height of about 150' off the ground*


[^ IFR usually means Instrument Flight Rules (in other words, you can't see where you're going eg in cloud) but here it means 'I Follow Roads.' It's an aviators' joke ]

*Affy continues his attempted Snowzar blasts from above while contemplating switching to his sword*

*as a result of the combined attack of the salonistas, one killer rabbit lies paralysed in the middle of the road, another killer rabbit (with a bolt in its ear) lies encased in ice also in the middle of the road, and the third is trying to flee, but is blinded by the carameliser and unable to run because of the arrows in its shoulder*

*the heap of not-quite-dead killer rabbits blocks the road*


Very sporting to allow that your bolt missed, but the one hosting the game will let you know the result of your foray.


*Amos brings Bonnie back down to earth* I reckon they're like any big predator. They has to come down off the hill in winter to find meat.

*looks at the killer rabbit heap and scratches his head*
