h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*a large cat like creature leaps from behind a tree stump. The cat lands on the tentacle holding the horse, gnawing at it*

*Cyiadan wakes with all the noise and scrambles away from Lycan to the battle; she whips out her tiny bow and arrow and begins firing at the tentacles*

*one of the tentacles wraps around her ankle*

*she starts to pull away ineffectively*

HELP!

*the puma stops gnawing at the tentacle, and moves to the one clawing at Cyiadan*

*reaches across a takes a swipe at the tentacle holding the third horse*

*then tries to rip the other 'claw' down the length of tentacle Lans is currently gripping*

*The tenticle that is being attacked, finely ripes off from teh stress of the attack.*


*Two tenticles lie squiriming on the ground. The horse that was about to be pulled into the water breaks free of the single tenticles grasp. And the creature finally is far enough that you can't see his body underneith the water. In total he got 3 horses. One he grabbed right off the bat, and 2 he got when he was retreating.*


*Two tenticles still squirming on the ground.*

*stamps on a tentacle while picking loose bits out of the crossbow bolts*

*chases after his frantic horse*

*The puma takes one look at the group, then bolts off into the forest in the opposite direction he came*

*comes back after an hour with his now-calm horse*

What are our casulties?

*Tiamat gets up from off the ground*

Uh......what happened? *rubs his head, his wide brimmed hat askew*

*goes over to his own horse and whispers to praise it on staying calm*

*Lycan fired many arrows while trying to keep Pesh safe and rescueing Cyiadan*

I'v probably had plenty of time for that. I'm ready to go....where-ever we're going to

*straightens his hat, brushes dust from his traveling cloak, and checks his many pockets to make sure all of his posessessions are as they are supossed to be. They are.*

*meanders about picking up reuseable bolts*

If it is far, I found a broken-down buggy back in the woods. It just needs a new front wheel and axel.
