That'll be because thy don't have to pay royalties for them, or pay anyone to compose it specially.

I'm sure I've heard of Dvorak in another context. Can't think what it is at the moment though.

Dvorak: composer who wrote lots of stuff, inc. the music on the Hovis ad (to which I was referring)...

Got it, there's a Dvorak set up on keyboards that is easier to type with apparently. It's the most famous after qwerty. That piece of trivia thanks to a touch typing program.

It was probably down to playing piano, and being uised to having his hands fly over the keys.

Hey DE which article was it? I'll give it a quick scan and see how we can get it past the PTB.

Sorry, more music jokes...
Q: How do you get two piccolos to play in unison?
A: Shoot one of them
These two tuba players walked past a bar...
...well.. it could happen!
Q: How many sopranos does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: One two hold the bulb, and the whole world revolves around her
Q: How many altos does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None, they can't get up that high!
Q: How many trumpeters does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Four, one to change the bulb and three to say how much better they could have done it.
Q: How many saxophonists does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Five, one to change the bulb and four to contemplate how David Sanbourne would have done it

It was a short one on fire exits, hardly surprising it got rejected, I'll just have to do a little more research for it, rewrite and resubmit. I'll keep what I've done on it, I think I'll just add more information.

Most of the rest I think should be okay, one of them has disappeared though. Field Hockey has gone walkabout since being edited.

Incidentally DD, I had a look at some of your entries and it appears a few of them could do with a little proof reading and editing for spelling mistakes (mostly typos) and the like when you have the time. You should have plenty of it, the queue's still massive.

I know I'm about to print them all off and go through them with a fine tooth comb this week. Most of them scan alright two are major works in progress ie bowls and my home town of Bangor. But I'm prepared to take my time over them.

I think my printer has just conked out on strike after the first six.
This may take some time.
