Hyp you're not supposed to get diet fatigue with JUDDDD You are right - stick to the basics and forget the other stuff.

I'm SOOOO stressed out, I haven't been following JUDDD for weeks! I'm about 2 1/2 weeks from my move, since no job nibbles have come through. Oddly, haven't gained back an ounce!
However, I don't recommend joblessness and impending homelessness as a diet aid, though!!

SC, maybe something will turn up. Or you might find someting unexpectedly nice in the new location.
I am having a JUDDDDless week. I'm on vacation from work and the diet both this week. Am refusing to weigh myself. I'll get back on the wagon Monday.

I am glad to report that I am on the brink of losing all the weight I gained back when I abandoned JUDDDD a couple of weeks ago.
I am feeling less stress on my ankles--even with this small loss.
We'll see what the week end brings though, Hyp.
She is such a good cook that I may not be able to resist.

I'm holding and that's pretty much it. I'm trying to still eat reasonable meals but the recent added stress is really making the difficult to resist.

Hang in there, Emee. Hide the . I've found that a bite of peanut butter will sometimes curb cravings for sweets.

That's the protein talking -- a little protein will curb all kinds of cravings (PB in particular, if you're talking about a craving for sweets). A bite of carbs just make you crave -- more carbs.

Glad to see that when I take my eye off the intermittent fasting that I haven't piled weight back on. Less than two pounds over min weight posted last week despite black tie dinner last night involving soup, roast beef, apple pie, cheese & biscuits, coffee and even some (possibly slightly more aware of my knuckles as a result this morning, but so slight it could be my imagination).
The trouble with peanuts is the calories - a small (50g/2oz) bag of salted nuts is over 300 calories - which would have to be breakfast *and* lunch for me on a down day.

Mine is in the main bathroom under Peanut's step stool.

And as for weight, I'm holding. Minor ups and downs during the week but the same overall weight.

Just realised I said a week ago I'd lost 11 ponds - I'll have to bring in a hosepipe ban
After a week's JUDDDD holiday only up another 1/2 pound, so 15 weeks 10.5 pounds lost. bing bong this is your captain speaking we are currently cruising at a steady altitude, there may be turbulence ahead, but we expect to hold steady at this height for some time.

I am still losing at a slow and steady rate. I am down a total of 28 pounds since June 20.
People I haven't seen in a while notice the loss immediately. Their eyes open wide when I tell them I diet every other day. I've been passing out the link to the JUDDDD website right and left. To my knowledge, no one has joined me yet but that is neither here nor there.

Witty, that is great progress! I know what you mean about giving out the webvsite to all and sundry. Like you, I've had very few takers. I think it is because it sounds harder than it actually is.
I am up 5 pounds after my vacation. I imagine most of it is fluids because my rings won't even pretend to come off today and my feet and ankles are swollen. I did have a lot of salty foods over the weekend.
So, it's back to the program this morning. Today is a high protein down day. Tomorrow needs to be an up day becuse of a Lions Club dinner tomorrow night. I know how my body reacts and the fluid will likely be gone in a few days and I'll start losing new weight again as soon as I get back into the rhythm of JUDDDD. JUDDDD is a fantastic woe.
I'm not sorry I took a break, though. I was so busy last week and needed to eat for energy every day. I nearly destroyed my back. I am still in pain from it. Getting back on JUDDDD should help the inflammation. Some vacation. I nearly worked myself to death.

This is a momentus day for me, this morning the scale announced that I have lost a total of 30 pounds. I have 4 more to reach my original goal, which was fairly conservative. I will probably go for at least 10 more. I am stoked.

Pimms Posted Oct 12, 2007
well done witty. Makes my modest goal of a mere 14 pounds seem somewhat trivial. Irritating that others can sail past my target while I still struggle to approach it
Hyp, have you tried to make sourdough yet?

Hypatia Posted Oct 13, 2007
WooHoo! 30 pounds gone from dieting half the time. Is this a great diet or what?
Since I've stopped thinking about "being on a diet" that is going to end someday and then I'll go back to eating normally, I'm happier psychologically. This is the way I eat now and is the way I'll continue to eat for the most part forever. The weight will come off when it comes off and I'll level off at a point my body chooses. I'm really proud of myself for getting as far as I have and am not going to worry about timetables for getting the rest of it off. It's a good way to eat and I'm just going to enjoy the journey. Just finding a way to maintain the weight loss is priceless.
JUDDDD rocks!

Witty Moniker Posted Oct 13, 2007
It really is dieting half the time for me, I have yet to count calories on an up day. I had that as a back up plan if I hit a serious plateau, but it has not been necessary to date.

Hope to have it resolved soon.

Maybe I should *actually* count calories on my down days
16 weeks, holding steady at 10.5 pounds lost, despite fluctuations a couple of pounds up and down from that.
