So, which poor sap is going to sit down and listen to the record a zillion times and produce a list of items. Don't look at me - I'm close enough to the edge already!

Mu Beta Posted Dec 2, 2003
OK...
Luckystar - Prokofiev and Disneyland are yours
Third Man - Why are you suggesting things that aren't in the song. Please don't confuse me. As far as Joe DiMaggio goes, you can have it if you want it. And I'm the poor sap with a big list of items - my project, remember.
kea - Yes, I'd like to try and keep it as much in the context of the song as possible. But obviously you can briefly put it as part of the big picture. Shall I put you down for it?
EV - heavy metal suicide is yours
Florida - King And I is spoken for, but you can do South Pacific by all means.
Hope everyone's happy.

I'll get started on South Pacific.
It might be worthwhile to put up an entry on which entries are spoken for to help us all keep track without reading all the backlogs.

I'll speak here as there's more people around: Sorry for walking in with my size 12s regarding Catcher in the Rye. I hadn't realised other people had vouched for it.
*note to self: check backlog*
Liam.

ooh, British Politician Sex please! And possibly thalidomide, because my Grandmother was taking that at one point. That's only a possibility though...

Count me in B, what do you have left? Any Sixties history pop culture stuff should be a relative walk in the park for me in all modesty.

Just spotted (during my research...) an existing entry on Prokofiev A354593 although that's really an essay on his musical style.
I had in mind identifying all those famous bits of Prokofiev that have been used as TV theme tunes etc, since this project is about the impact on the latter half of the 20th century. That OK?

Hi Master B
I've found an edited entry on Jack Kerouac - A187391
If nobody else claims them I'd like:
Ben Hur
Peter Pan
England's got a new queen

Right - feedback on today's postings while I've been hard at work.
Jodan - by all means take Joe DiMaggio. I haven't heard anything firm from LuckyStar, and she does have her name down for others.
kea - Birth Control is all yours, if you'll pardon the expression.
Mina - British Politician Sex. I knew you'd want to do that one! Let me know ASAP on the Thalidomide one please.
paperboy - What do you fancy? Elvis, Chubby Checker, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean. Take your pick.
LuckyStar - That sort of thing on Prokofiev would be fab, yes. As long as you get the link in, we shouldn't need more than a few sentences really.
Shazz - I'll put you down for those three. Never mind 'if nobody else claims them' - you just have.
Right, that's that. Happy writing, people and sympathise with this poor sod who's going to have to do all the boring ones that no-one else wants.

Have Buddy Holly or The Beatles gone?
My Lizard loves that song and indeed those notables. She'd ask herself but she's a but busy right now.

Mu Beta Posted Dec 3, 2003
OK, Mort - Berlin and Moonshot are yours
Speckly - I'll put you down for Buddy Holly and British Beatlemania, if that's OK?
Typical! I knew all the interesting topics would go early.

Hi there, sorry that Speckly is so vague, but she was asking if I could do Buddy Holly and British Beatlemania.
I'm in work and thus busy, but I'm now on break.
But yes, me for those, not Speckly.
Sorry 'bout that.

As long as they get finished, mind you.
