I saw some bulbs the other day...

you could plant them in a shaded part

is it getting chilly lately or is it just me?

no, it is a might colderthe amount of cloudy weather and rain we've had has brought it down

I don't like the hot weather but its far too early in the year to be putting the heating on

it said on our local news/weather, it's been the coldest August night since 1987

by the way, hows the pottery side coming on ? hope all is going well

yeah we're trying to set up our own store,
just waiting to here from the solicitors
we were at an art fare the other day and relatively good business
there were rats though


on another note,
looking for a nice fruit tree for the garden

not for the ratbut business soon to be up and running

do they not do peach trees like the funny apple ones ? that grow from a tub =

I don't know,
we've got blackcurrant bushes
and brambles
I think I'll get some strawberries

the smaller fruits are better, easier to handle, plus make jams

yes but blackcurrents are so bitter
I might put in some rhubarb while I'm at it

it doesn't hurt to diversify maybe see if you can get a run of sorts going, so one type of fruit will bear and another say a few weeks later etc, so a crop harvest over 3 month ?? or something like

I like to grow peas in the summer

I've not bought pea in the pod for agesI used to eat more than put in the pot

we grew corn a couple of years ago
I'm not sure its worth the bother though
but a couple of stalks of peas thats something different

it all another string to the bow
