I don't know about the band, this forum is beginning to look alot like the (apparently no longer functioning?) World Wide Jam page...
I did not know that there was a Café Aroma. Where did you come upon this place, and am I in danger of being sued or bought out?

Dern! Those "?"s looked like little ice cubes in my window, but they shoed up like "?"s. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.

I like the sound of an acoustic guitar. It's hard to get a good sounding recording of one, though. I'm not entirely sure why, but there was a whole article at guitar.com about it earlier this year. I could find it for you if you like?

The article on recording accoustic tracks is located here

And another article (which I haven't read yet) concerning caring for your accoustic guitar (but I thought you were a bass player) is located here

I am indeed a bass player, but I have a friend who owns an acoustic. I pick it up, strum it, and I sound terrible. Maybe it isn't tuned up, but I think it is.
Whereas I can pick up an electric and just make up something and it sounds ok. I don't even play the thing properly, with what I do with the frets. But sometimes I get an ok sound, and that takes priority over tradition.
Thanks 4 the links .

Maybe the problem you're having is something to do with the fact that the strings on an acoustic are further off the fretboard (typically) and generally harder to press down than those on an electric. Or maybe you're picking up an electric with distortion on the amplifier and therefor you've got a fuzz over everything you play, so that missed notes get lost.

Yes, the latter sounds right. I loved it when Urchin's guitar had the fuzz, but he's fiddled with it and can't get it back. He's 'forgotten'.
Heh, tell me guitar rock's dead! HM will rule the world!

I'm not even going to ask.
*Sips ale, then realizes he's in the wrong forum. Throws the mug out the (thankfully) open window*
Could I have a usual, please? I'm really thirsty.

Irv, did you drink any of that ale? BTW, I ordered a Usual, please.

Hey, what is that thing?
Man, it's late and I'm just cruising around here...hmmm.

Afgncaap5 Posted Feb 27, 2000
ASG-Anti-Snavig into Grue. Snavig is a Zorkish spell of temporary transmutation, and a grue is a monster that's afraid of light to such a degree that they have been known to spontaneously combust when it touches them. If Irving drank some of that ale outside Zork, there's a slight chance he might need this.
