Really? When does a forum become too long? And more importantly why do the folks at H2G2 want us to keep them short???

It may look like I'm replying to myself (or adding a PS) but I'm not, I'm actually replying to daniel (though I don't have any real answers, which is what you get for staying up again after a hard day and peering ahead to another) but I wanted to reply to the end of the thread to lessen the tangles.
Too long -- when loading takes too much time and folks ask someone to move it to a new thread.

A while back I whipped up a batch of caramel & spam brownies, but they didn't go over so well.......I think it's just that spam doesn't work in brownies, no matter what else you throw in there. Hence the rule agaist meat.

Anonymouse Posted Nov 22, 1999
Hmm.. perhaps we should reconsider that rule after tasting some of these mincemeat/chocolate chip brownies?

But Spam is not *really* meat either. I don't know what to make of it. But there is a case ofit in the emergency kit. You never have to replace it, it will never go bad.
