Ah, he was great when he played for Scunthorpe. What a wonderful central midfield pairing Lord Lucan and Ian Botham were...

I've been ticking off folk's guesses at the mystery player. One of them is remarkably close to being correct.

And of course I've just realised that I've got the Fulham/Leeds scoreline the wrong way around
Oh well, here's hoping the Steed has an absolute mare on Saturday

GreyDesk Posted Mar 12, 2004
Yes of course I'd get the points for Malbranque scoring if he scores first.
Though the only way I could get the result points is if his first score is in the back of his own net

Ormondroyd Posted Mar 12, 2004
BTW, I've been racking my brains and searching the Soccerbase site over the mystery player, and the best candidate I can come up with is Bradford City's Football In The Community Officer, the man after whom I named myself: Ian Ormondroyd. He played for Bradford, Oldham, Scunthorpe, Hull, Leicester and Derby, which covers five of the games. Could he have had some connection to Fulham or Leeds?

Incidently there's a rumour going round in the West Midlands that Stan Collymore has signed for Leicester.
He's not playing - just watching.
