No, I've decided against accepting alcoholic bribes in this competition. It wouldn't be fair on the more geographically challenged players.
Sorry B, you're just going to have to be more careful in future

B, I would have thought you might have learned something from tyhe fact that Fulham enter the FA Cup.
Man Utd 0-3 Fulham (Brian McBride)
Portsmouth 2-1 Arsenal (Lomano Tresor LuaLua)
Millwall 0-0 Tranmere
Sunderland 5-1 Sheffield United (Julio Arca- one of those dazzling runs has to come to something sooner or later))

It's probably just that some people are too lazy and/or snobbish to look up the names of non-Premiership players.

Just noticed that Egon's got LuaLua in his picks. Is he not cup-tied?

For those of you too lazy to bother, Millwall's top scorers so far this season are Neil Harris, Tim Cahill, Paul Ifill and Daniele Dichio. Tranmere's are Iain Hume, Gary Jones, Eugene Dadi and Simon Haworth. Two of the above scored in their surprise 3-0 defeat of Plymouth Argyle.

I'm not too lazy or snobbish to look up non-premier league players. i know quite a bit about Tranmere from the sports pages of the Liverpool Echo. I just foresee both them and Millwall defending solidly, and neither having the inclination nor ambition to take too many risks.
Oh, and if LuaLua is cuptied, it makes my B-baiting look rather stupid doesn't it?

Being a fervent Coventry fan - I'm not used to thinking about non-premiership teams, though I've seen quite a lot of Division 1 (and 2) strikers putting goals past us tthis season.
Those who've been to The New Pit will know that its fearsome reputation is justified, but I don't think they'll score in this game.
Simon Howarth incidently is a product of the Coventry Youth set-up.

Lua-Lua certainly is cup-tied, which makes Egon a bit of a plonker, really.

Come off it, you've had nearly three years practice. What are you, a slow learner or something

The first year I knew we were going straight back up so I didn't bother - then the news of all the debts came out so I was too depressed to care - so there's only been the last 6 months really.

GreyDesk Posted Mar 4, 2004
Yes, losing six of your last seven games isn't usually a great strategy if you're going to go 'straight back up'
