I try to avoid movies made from really good books. They're always disappointing. Just a little librarian quirk of mine. But I did watch LOTR.

I've ordered it for the library, but it hasn't come yet. I'm not crazy about horses or books about same, so I'll probably skip it...and the movie.

I find the history interesting though. The triple crown? Secretariat? Man o' War?!

Horses are beautiful animals, but I don't think I could ever become emotionally attached to one. Maybe one of the miniatures. I like my critters small enough to fit on my lap. That's why I love cats. They're the perfect size. And my is little.

I also like pygmy goats. They're so sweet. Someday I'm going to buy myself one.
