If you think they're so great, why did you off 800 of them to make a beard? Then make ferret jerky? When nylon would have worked just fine? Huh? How about it? You should be marching around carrying a "Save the Ferrets" sign. Or a "Down with Ferret Jerky" sign.
I only ever knew one ferret up close and personal. He was a sweet little critter. But he wasn't soft and he usually needed a bath and smelled to high heaven. He lived across the street from the library and would come visit us once in awhile. It was so cool because it would make the little old ladies shreik and climb on chairs.
We also had a 7 foot reticulated python in the neighborhood in those days, and I've often wondered if the two didn't meet one day because the ferret disappeared.
And before you ask.....NO! I will not perform with a snake wrapped around my neck.

They're already dead. Roadkill
I'm surprised the ferret wasn't soft. Mine was very soft. Ferrets are nice lil' critters. If you take them out on walks, they'll freak out the neighborhood.

The ferret that came to the library had coarse hair. Maybe it's because he wasn't very well taken care of. After all, he got out all the time and came over here! But he was very sweet.

Yes. Ferrets are extremely sweet. They'll gnaw on your fingers (It doesn't hurt) and look up at you and it's like you have a dog that doesn't poop as much...
Ah memories

My cousin had a raccoon for a pet. It was cute and sweet. But it could turn mean. It used to sleep under the bed like .

Ferrets only turn mean if their tails get hurt.
I don't have pets now though. I've never had a normal pet really

Doesn't look like it so far. We don't have a quorum yet. At least that way I may get out of here sooner. The personnel committee are in closed session having my annual evaluation. With the smellfungus in charge. She is still officially president until the board accepts her resignation. Which is supposed to be tonight is we get a quorum together. One last chance for her to take a shot at me.

Well, they're being very mysterious. The smellfungus is up to something. Fortunately, I have a friend on the personnel committee. There are 3 members. 1 friend, 1 enemy and 1 who leans whichever way the wind blows. I think it's ok. I'll know something in a couple of weeks.

Yes, that's the correct term. Some public library directors are also librarians and some aren't. The actual librarians took offense at the non-degreed people using the word librarian, so the word director became the preferred title. Everywhere you turn.....politics.

I do the work of both. I think the administrative side is the director part and the book side is the librarian part. I really don't care what they call me as long as my paychecks don't bounce.

That would explain why I have this irrestible urge to wash my sandwich in a stream.
I like otters. They're fun to watch. We used to have some river otters in the creek just north of town. I don't know if any are still there or not.
