Gone to see the Trapeze artists

You're the only trapeze artist I know who never trapezes.
What happens if you need to sneeze when you're on the trapeze?

Of course you want to be the ring master. It's not really work and you can boss everyone around.
Whether I know any other trapeze artists or not is immaterial.

Actors want to be directors, singers want to be actors and comedians want to be singers. It's nature's way of turning everyone into idiots.
Me, I want to be an archaeologist and discover gold in the central American jungles.

No, comedians want to be a sitcom star
I think I'm pretty clear that I want to be supreme ruler of the world

But John and Dan wanted to be musicians before Jake and Elwood were created. Why do you think they made the movie?

Ah right
Dan and Jim (John's brother - is the last name spelled Belushi?) have a band now, don't they?

Yep.
Quite a few stand-ups have successfully made the transition to acting. Actually I love Drew Carey. He's one of my all-time favorites.

Drew Carey - a native Ohioan, always a mark of distinction
A lot of comedians make their biggest success on TV - Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, Drew Carey (as you said) Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O'Donnell springing to my mind
Of course, that's only what brings attention to them. Ellen Jerry and Bill went back to comedy and have had great success
Bill Cosby has to be my favorite. Maybe not the funniest, but the most fun to watch

Everyone likes Bill Cosby. At least I've never heard anyone say they didn't like him. I even watched his mystery series - can't remember the name now - where he was a former forensic pathologist or something. I can't believe my memory is getting so bad. I hope it's just stress. And I'm old enough to remember I Spy. Have you seen it?

Do you remember Flip Wilson? I loved his show. I'd like to have tapes of some of them. Think I'll check and see if any are available. He was very funny. And I used to love George Carlin. Then he got bitter and I didn't care for him as much. But he's good again.
