Ah, you want to know why I was talking about Hildas. I want to know why I fainted.

*to the mad scientists* Are we there yet?

Harvey-Yes, we *are* there, but we're trying to decide how to handle the situation when we go down. I could head down first while the rest of you tried to work out the fainting spell, but I don't feel quite up to heading down without the necessary backup.

Perhaps the fainting was due to a sudden drop in blood pressure related to our descent. Therefore nothing too much to worry about and soon sorted with

I ~do~ feel better. I've never used the healthstone for self-protection, but maybe now's the time.

*holds the stone and thinks immune thoughts*

Listen, I think we should all go down together.

[Bulma] [as Lil] "I'm sensing a disturbance in the plot device!"


[Yar] What's up, Lil?

*BOOM*

[C] What was that?

[K] Uhhh... nothin'.

*Kudos scrambles to get the char off of his face and pushes the blown-up teleporter into a corner*

*Greg looks over, and runs to the device. He sighs, pulls out a screwdriver, and makes a few changes to the remains. Within a few seconds, it is a perfectly functioning teleporter again*

Greg-I'll bill ya for it later. No guarantee that it'll make it to where we want to go on the first try, though....

*Greg carefully re-enters the coordinates, and a rift to F127150?thread=316113 appears* Let's hope this works out.

Harvey-Well....I'm not opposed to the idea of going down together.

Greklas-No sense hiding what they've already seen, I suppose.

*draws her nanogun and sets it to BLACK INK, maximum arc of cover*

Ready.

*Stepping up to the transporter, she sticks her arm in, fires, then walks forward...*

*takes her carameliser out of her upper right thigh pocket, adjusts the gas setting to max and the flame to intense, with finger ready on the ignite button, follows Lil*

Right behind you, Lil.......

*Corrupt gets up with a sigh, and drags Kudos along to follow the rest*

[K] OW! Ooh, stop it! CorRUPT!

[C] You got me into this mess. You're lucky I don't go and put some mean spell on you.

*The scientists blink as the adventurers go in guns-a-blazin'*

Greklas-Well....I'd say that they've just lost us either the element of surprise *or* the chance of a peaceful diplomatic solution.

Harvey-Funny how it's always the heroes doing that these days, ain't it?

[Yar] [looking through the portal] Well, back in the day, being a "hero" meant wiping out a temple just so you can rescue this one girl /and/ stealing all the treasure ...


[Trunks] [as Lord Vetinari] "I believe by modern standards, he would be guilty of murder, thievery, and rape."

[Vegeta] [as underling] "Well ... not /really/ rape, per se ..."

[Trunks] [as Lord Vetinari] "What's the difference?"

[Vegeta] [as underling] "Mainly, a matter of approach, I think ... there haven't been any actual /complaints/."


[Bass] Bah, I'm just gonna go through there. C'mon, Treble. [exeunt Bass and Treble]

*Follows Bass and Treble, her nano-gun setting as yet undetermined.*

*The five scientists look at each other*

Sartasmus-I'll play no part in this.

Greg-Nor will I.

Arithmancer-Excellent! You two can stay up here and man the controls, then!

Harvey-See ya soon! Comin', Greklas?

Greklas-I'll let you people go down first. No sense letting them see *all* of our forces at once, really, since we seem to be going for an invasive attack. Try to get to a peaceful resolution down there.

*Harvey and Arithmancer nod and jump through*

[Yar] I'm stayin' here, too.

[Mog] So'm I!


[Vegeta] Oh, and also, me!

[Trunks] [as Smith] "Me, and me, and me."

*steps onto teleporter while still rumaging in pockets to see what she did with that gun... and the knife... and the lassoo... and the broad sword...*

*The three remaining scientists, meanwhile, are speaking. Greklas seems to be making plans for an emergency escape from the asteroid via Greg's superior teleportation technology*

[Yar pays as much attention to the conversation as he can without being obvious.]

Greklas-...and then we'll teleport them directly into a stasis field so that they can't cause any problems until we can safely place them somewhere where they can get to wherever they need to go in accordance with our deal, and-

*Greklas looks up just then, as do Greg and Sartasmus*

Greklas-Tell me, do you think that B.E.T.T.E. could be incapacitated to the point that we could entrap them? This situation is becoming a bit more complex than we had originally intended, what with the arrival of you and your friends.
