smiley - cheerssmiley - taThanks Opti when I was about 8 I first learnt French and I was very good at it but I left from Ashington, Northumberland to London and had to wait another 2 years before I started learning French again.smiley - smiley

In the between time I developed Epilepsy which made learning difficult for me and the French teacher at my school and he was very impatient and did not make allowances or give me any extra help. I hardly got any help at all. If I missed a class I would not be told what I missed. We did not have any text books to refer to. I have always wanted to learn French from when I was a little girl (I used to watch French documentary programmes) but since the age of 8 and half, learning became very difficult for me.smiley - hug

crikey kat I don't know what to say ... except for saying I think its disgusting the way your french teacher behaved around you.

We'll definitely help you to get to grips with french and then you too will be helping those who'd like to learn on here ... actually helping others may well improve your french as you learn yourself

you mention you liked french documentary stuff why not try and get hold of some more, or search the net for french newspapers or get hold of french magazines for children ... i prefer the french teenagers magazines to the ones we english have

sometimes i think its weird that people cannot get to grips with french at all but perhaps thats because of different mind sets or the fact my history tree dates back to french aristocracy ooh la la hey

smiley - cheerssmiley - hugThanks Opti for your kindness and help. I loved all things French from a very early age and my most happiest memories were as a child going on holiday to the South of France (mountain area) which I cherish a great deal.smiley - hug
