Hm, I don't think they'll keep her there, she'll probably be home again later tonight.
Her GP phoned the endocrinologist who said they may have some results in another two or three weeks...

can we please get a frustrated head on keyboard smiley?
Maybe Mal needs to become a health tourist. Try the NHS out for a while. With any luck, they'll mess up different bits and between the two systems she'll get one whole complete diag-bloody-nosis!

Thanks for the update, I hope everything turns out all right. Maybe this will expedite the handling of her previous test results, too.
Best wishes to Mala.

(I do have to say, though, that when two to three weeks is "quickly", that's pretty bad...)

Well, I think the nerve thing was just that, but I hope it will speed things up. She has been living with a lot of tension for a very long time.
I just talked to her again, she's been there for four hours and hasn't seen a doctor so far because they have been treating several emergency stroke patients first. It's very reassuring that at least they seem to be tending to people who are on the verge of dying...

Actually she's on her way home now, in reasonably good spirits, and about to let everybody know herself just how much she appreciates all those helpful suggestions...

Oh yes, you're all terribly helpful.
I spent nine and a half hours on this, most of them in some waiting room or another. I never want to see any more women's magazines!
The GP said it was probably nothing, but it *might* be an epileptic seizure so I was to go there to be sure. Sat around in the hospital for over four hours, finally got to see a doctor. Though I think she was really a cop, just made me walk in a straight line And then sent me home with a letter that requested, very politely, that I was to stop wasting their time.
Haven't eaten since breakfast, so I'll go devour some leftovers now.

Yes... and turn on the heater.

So what's the next step then Mal? Are you any closer to getting results and /or treatment from that previous batch of tests yet?

Good idea, Tav. It's only 15° in here, even though I had the heater on this morning!
Busy stuffing tomato rice and a double fried egg into myself now.
And results from the other test will be 2-3 weeks. Unless they're delayed, of course.
