...or whatever that was last night. It was scary!
I sort of lost control over myself - my hand kept doing things I didn't want it to, and I was obsessively repeating gestures faster and faster without wanting to - brushing my hair out of my face, shaking my hand, tapping my foot... And typing. I'd reach the end of the sentence and just keep on pounding on the keys at random! Not to mention rolling the scroll wheel on the mouse back and forth, making the very page that I was trying to read jiggle up and down. I'd take deep breaths in order to stop it and end up hyperventilating. There was also something odd going on with my internal graphics processor, everything kind of lacked depth, but the colours were oversaturated.
I've only had that once, when I was totally sleep-deprived after working too long on a Uni project. But I have been sleeping lately...
I still appear to have been thinking clearly, though. I did the only sensible thing and went to bed. The heater and the computer were turned off this morning, and I did take the phone with me in case it got worse. The things I wrote late last night still made sense content-wise, but the spelling was abysmal. Sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of one of those posts!
It seems to be gone now. But I'll mention it to my doctor this evening, maybe that will finally hurry them up.

You were ok in PR last night, very helpful and all made sense.
Definitely mention it to your though. Are you eating ok?

I've been eating quite normally - meaning enough fruit and veg, since I'm a vegetarian and need to base my meals on *something*...
Maybe I'll just go to the doctor this afternoon, rather than just waiting to phone.
I was already having a little trouble formulating sentences the way I wanted 'em yesterday afternoon at the job fair, but assumed I was merely nervous around strangers. Probably was!
But lately, I get exhausted before I get tired, if that makes any sense.
(And Taff, I drink neither cola nor coffee anyway.)

Sounds like you should go to a doctor quickly. Were you dehydrated? Really tired from the job fair? I have no idea why I ask, even... so you get migraines? it sounds a little like an "aura" that some get before an attack, but then again, the hyperactivity is baffling...
Anyway, get yourself examined, sweetie!

What everyone else said- get yourself to the doctor ASAP. It doesn't sound good and I'm sorry that you had to go through something so awful.

Or even better, get your doctor to send you to the HOSPITAL for a checkup. This is obviously something neurological. And if your mother says the same, listen to her.
Could it be a late consequence from that knock on the head?

Right, if that's the general consensus, I guess I'd better.
I'm going to get dressed now () and go to work. (And to see which classes I missed this morning.
I really didn't feel like setting an alarm clock.)
My doctor's right across from the Uni, and opens again at four thirty, so I think I'll go bother her then.
Fortunately, I have no classes tomorrow, and I've got yesterday's leftovers for dinner today. (Rice with lentils, onions, and tomato, you'd think that kind of thing would be healthy enough )
As for dehydration, I surely hope not! I'm already drinking five litres a day and it doesn't seem enough. And I've never had a migraine problem.

5l a day and not enough? That doesn;t sound at all right either.
Plus factor in other drinks as well as liquid is liquid when it comes to consuming it. I'd mention this too, just to be on the safe side given everything else medical you are going through.

5 liter is very much! You realise too much can make bad things too, of course, salts out of balance can probably give neurogical symptoms... hope you are at the doctors right now.

me too. I've been reading around (all these eat X per day and drink y per day things are not the sort of stuff I pay much attention to).
5l is excessive and needs to be addressed. Particularly if you feel it is not enough. It is way, way more than enough. Speak to doc

Isn't drinking 5l of from a giant stein a tradition in Bavarian Germany? I'm a Englishman, so it has to be Pimms or Pink Gin for me

Give the doctors a list of symptoms. 5L of non-alcoholic liquid is an enormous amount in Germany.

We can all quit nagging for now; Mala went to see her GP this afternoon and was sent on to the hospital's neurology department so they can have a good look at her.
It's probably "only" a nervous reaction to all the stress she's been under (she's as brave as they come, but it's certainly beginning to take a toll on her), but it definitely shouldn't go unchecked.
