To my College Personal Project?
Well, for some reason I've gotten onto doing loads of circles with lyrics from songs...problem is...I've run out of ideas for some lyrics which vaguely any link to my original thing which was eyes...so:
Do anyone have a favourite song lyric, or piece of poetry which have ouwt to do with vision in...it's gonna turn into a sappy love thing I know it (from the lyrics I've got) but hey if you wanna help just say. Film song lyrics, poetry, anything would be appreciated, just give me the name plus the lyric or artist and song name etc...
Eg: "Why does my heart cry, feelings I can't fight, you're free to leave me but just don't decieve me, and please believe me when I say I love you..."
see, all the ones I've found are sappy but sod it, I love Moulin Rouge and the music & everything else about it. Gives me tingles...

oh dear god...not bloody Garfunkle!
it's bad enough I put in "ironically" Lady in Red by the pervayor of all Filth, that slimey little weasle Chris De Berge! Only did that because Bill Bailey does a cranking impression...
ahhh bill...wonder if I can use any of his songs.
Sorry J, more of a Paul Simon gal here Years of me mam playing GRaceland full blast at us...

lol trust me mate I don't think he's depressing, his stuff's great and I can honestly say onver the past few months I've listened to thinks that were a hell of a lot more depressing.
and being depressed sucks, and I don't wanna go back there, and trust me David Gray isn't gonna get me there, more likely listening to things like Stroke 9 or Crowded House or Moulin Rouge or Frank Sinatra would because of the memories they provoke, but hell that's all I'm listening too in order toget over of those sucky reminders of things that have happened
anyhow DG is your musical preference, you can't argue with a preference.

Entire lyrics, or just snippets?
How about 'How can you lie there and think of England, when you don't even know who's in the team?' from Billy Bragg's 'Greetings to the New Brunette'?
Or 'In the end it took me a dictionary - to find out the meaning of 'unrequited'... while she was giving herself for free... at a party to which I was never invited' - that's from 'The Saturday Boy'
Or are you after something a bit more romantic?

Hope some of these are helpful
"So sad her eyes smiling dark eyes
So sad her eyes as it began" - White Queen, Queen
"Heeding unheard pleading one word
So sad my eyes she cannot see" - White Queen, Queen
"One man one goal one mission
One heart one goal just one solution
One flash of light yeah one god one vision" - One Vision, Queen
"Oh so many years have gone
Though I'm older but a year
Your mothers eyes from your eyes cry to me" - '39, Queen

just a snippet and the song name and artist
and no not about love, more about vision and eyes or crying or whateve,r just happens most of the ones I've found are about either romance or about being depressed at the fact that the bloke you're in love with has dumped you and shagged someone else like a complete b*stard and you're crying your bloody eyes out

"I always thought I could fall from a height, and land on my feet... Now I'm considering throwing in the towel, admitting defeat... Just like the Four Tops - I can't help myself" (that was the very wonderful Orange Juice with "I Can't Help Myself")
"Let's take a drive to Primrose Hill - it's windy there and the view's so nice" ('For Tomorrow' by Blur, soundtrack to my adolesence )
"So good to have equalised - to lift up the lids of your eyes" ('Waterfall' by the Stone Roses)
"And the Public gets what the Public wants - but I don't get what this society wants... I'm going underground" ('Going Underground', by the Jam (of course))
"The ghost of a steam train echoes down my track... It's at the moment bound for nowhere, just going round and round... Playground kids and creaking swings... Lost laughter in the breeze... I could go on for hours and I probably will, but I'd sooner put some joy back into this Town Called Malice" (The Jam again, Town Called Malice)

Taking the 'eyes' theme a little more literally, there's a great old music hall song my grandpa used to sing:
"Two lovely black eyes
Oh! What a surprise
Only for telling a man he was wrong
Two lovely black eyes"
It's even mentioned in Jerome K. Jerome's 'Three Men in a Boat'.
There's a song by Half Man Half Biscuit which is a parody of 'Bette Davis Eyes' by someonefamousthatican'tremember, and it's called 'Dickie Davies Eyes'.
"A romany bint in a field with her paints, suggesting we faint at her beauty... but she's got Dickie Davies Eyes"
(Note for younger viewers: Dickie Davies was the ITV's equivalent of Desmond Lynam in the 1980s, he had a moustache and dark hair with a sort of white curl at the front, and used to present 'World of Sport' which was ITV's response to 'Grandstand' - they had all the rubbish sports in those days, and it got dropped)
