How's the 'ed?
Thoth1 Posted Mar 4, 2005
Good Morning,
Not still amidst the walking wounded are we? Didn’t the OJ and chicken soup work? You know this is the fate’s retribution for pretending to be crook in the first place…
Had a little look-see at Writers’ Dock last eve - will this be the new GW do you think?
Only two lessons till the end of the course now. Teach forgot to give us any homework so we’ve all got a week off. Personally I'm wondering where to go now… (The bathroom for a wash and brush-up or the kitchen for a coffee.)
I have a couple of novel ideas, (like the pun? ) but not sure which is the best direction to take…
Those lovely people at the beeb still haven’t sent me a large cheque for the play wot we wrote...
What’s PJ up to this weekend? Staying in to recuperate so’s she’s well for next week?
Have a good one,
Thoth

'morning Thoth, it's only me, we haven't spoken forever, so your course is nearly over and the book is germinating as we speak (when you are published and famous, I can say I knew him when...).
Are you coming to Brum with the rest of the Motley Crew or are you staying home with Kadgagoo goo?

Good Morn Lynda,
Nice to hear from you. I'm off doing things in a couple of secs so no time for a proper reply, but I promise to write later today.
Be good, or don't get caught...

Hi honey,
Have been thinking of you and how ye must be mad at me for the delay in replies in 'e' - but have started an epic one for you that will wing its little wings to you by morn. have read all the latest and boy have I not laughed! The little Star Wars characters a la karma-killer sutra! Lol! Brilliant!
As for this w'end - well, was a big muck up in reservations for a few of us. They actually had no record - but all sorted now. Just need to find the passport, the mobile phone top-up card (and how to use said thingie by then), clean socks, hot water bottle, the hair-net, rosary beads... ye know the usual. As for hair and nails - might just bring them along with me too.
And I believe that you may more than likely NOT be coming now???
Ach Thoth!! I wanted someone to fight with!
have ye thought any about the wee request in that other post i left with you? No pressure now, just though you and your dulcia could make a wee entry there...
How are you anyway, me dear? Behaving still?

Yes, I did have a look at the eulogy site. Most impressed with PJ's ode.
I've given some thought to an opus but the muse is playing hard to get. I hope something surfaces before the dead…lines.
Do you know any good chemicals which refresh the inspirational parts other molecules don't reach?
Don’t stay out too late; we’ve got to look good for the parade this weekend.

A little trick of mine is a little night-time Jazz/film music, Mr Sheen to polish the desk surface first, some smokes, a glass of amber or coffee, burning incense, a variety of coloured markers, reading back on favourites, just a little twinge of triggered thought or memory...
But I cheated. mine is an amalgamation of two previous pieces from late summer when in the heat of it. Spring showers not as stimulation. Unable to pen anything as fresh as a daisy, I'm afraid BUT I do have good news for you and will reveal all in the 'epic e' for you.
So no telling offs then from Thoth?? Phew! Thank-God for that! Me was a little worried. (No I wasn't. I have Shorty on my side).
And really no pressure and no worries. can be as late as whenever, it's just I'll be most likely off-line from Thurs till Tues as I will be away.
Have you class on Thurs, then?
(Because this 'could' be deemed as 'homework', ye know... Apple in it for ye too! )

Well, i did try to squeeze Shorty into my toilet bag but he wouldn't fit.
Have washed me, ironed me and ready to fold all and put into bag. Found thee mobile, the passport and that I have not enough room for everything. Think I'll leave the computer/printer/fridge at home then. too heavy anyway andas I'm bringing all my bangles, baubles and beads with me (a la Bet Lynch mob), something's gotta give, ye know.
Doing a little ketchup in here before I chip in and get taxi to airport (around 9isham). Will try drop a wee quick 'e' to ye before then. Still wish you could make it. Will have to fight with Lynda now and I bet she''l beat me as she is a professional poker player (seriously!).
Have a great w'end yourself and will catch ye soon, Sir.
Take care & don't forget to water the plants.

Me still in Brummie with the twin's Mother-in-law etc... flying home about lunch-time.
Was a really brill w'end, everyone was sound and such a laugh - you would have enjoyed it, pity ye missed it. A great bunch of funny, mad folk and yes, PJ behaved as she always does - well-mannered, quiet and tee-totaler.
On a weird PC here and having some problems being on-line - but will have a longer chat with you soon with all the craic. Some photos of the w'end due to go up on the MSN Party group and I should have mine up by Wed night hopefully. Some real crackers!
How have you been, old bean?

I'm well tks, and I've been thinking about that story you asked for.
No brilliant flashes of inspiration yet - perspiration but no inspiration. Don’t give up hope; there are still a few days yet. And there’s no homework this week either.
Yes, I'm sorry I missed the do; I raised a symbolic glass or two on Saturday and thought of PJ and the crowd.
Off zzzwards soon,
Hope to speak later.

Hi,
Good to see you’ve arrived home safely, did you manage it on your own or did you have help?
I’ve been scanning the pictures of the great event. Looks like you had a great time. On one of the photos I noticed the words, “Caption Competition”… What won or aren’t the results in yet? If it’s still open for suggestions, how about…
“Tell us again Lynda, how do you set these to vibrate…?”
Not many days to go now. Have you decided where to transfer to?

Hi Thoth,
Yes JUST got back as nearly missed the frigging plane. As fopr the caption comp - do still think it's open - so please post on the 'Who's Up For A Party?' thread and you could win.... well, I'll let Cad think of something!
As for another home - well, i'm currently signed up in writers' Dock although haven't been on there too much. Might just take a wee break from on-line activity for a while.
Will send you an 'e' with all the craic. Must go wash Brummie out of my hair and have a good ole talking to Shorty - he's been chewing on a few candles since I left. NOT good. Grr...
Will catch ye later, Sir

Good Day,
Hope PJ is having a wonderful day, and doesn’t end up looking green.
Last lesson tonight, which we’ve voted should be held at the local pub instead of in the classroom.
Partly in honour of a certain Saint, who shall remain nameless, but mainly so we have a pint or three. Will you be celebrating too?
No significant news of any literary events I keep trying to find inspiration for the iCan anthology... Still a few days left though…
Happy Scribbles,
Mike.

I missed that last message - Sorry!
As for the title of this thread, the answer is: 'still fragile'. Shouldn't really dance on tables and mix the drinks - was a great day/night/morn though and painted the town in more colours than green.
How did your last night's 'last night' go? Teach but ye's a pint? did ye's give her a card and pressie? Did ye walk her home???!
You can tell meeeeeee. It's OK, I won't laugh, promise! Hehehehehehe!
And my dear Sir - i have further GOOD news - that GW Tribute Anthology will be transformed into a PDF/e-book, curtesy of the publishing place I will be doing work for. Remember I told you about it AND you don't have to be a 'woman' either so you're fine. (The wearing of make-up is optional, of course).
So Mister, you have GOT to write us something! How's about before Sunday 6pm if you can? This will be your last bit of homework to do and I promise to give you an A . Hopefully, it will be ready by Tuesday.
Plus Cad has set up an excellent site that you should also check out. Very similar skin to this one and WD - a blend of both. Get yer arse over there soon. A few of the regular mad folk are already signed up.
