ps: no wonder the periwinkles are depressed after paul h lay on them

Periwinkles are incredibly tough. They make fantastic groundcover because nothing phases them. I've seen some relations of their on the top of Mount Washington (in New Hampshire), which has the world's worst weather. Not much else can survive up there

The ones I'm familiar with are Vinca Minor. They are called Myrtle, but the real Myrtle is more like a bush, while Vinca is more like a vine.

either way they seem to grow everywhere. while we thought the 
was run by white

The really important stuff is at the back of a file cabinet drawer in a locked office, on the bottom floor, way at the back.
The sort-of-important stuff pops up when there's no one here to benefit from it.
Everything else is here where it's easily accessed by lots of people.
