I have been back on hootoo less than a year, and I will never meet two of the community of friends.....

Looking at the Hull-meet photos it looked like fun. Lots of happy memories for those who were there.

My condolences to his family and friends. I'll miss him and especially his wicked sense of humor. I've been trying to type something appropriate, but it's really hard to see the keyboard with all this water in the way. I wish I had met him in RL.

It was such shock to hear that Mike passed away.

Pauline please can you pass on my condolences to his family.

I'm very sorry to hear of Mike's death.

I was stunned when I heard the news.

I met Mike at the Hull Meet. I'd never seen him before, but as I arrived at the hotel, a man with a long beard, a big smile, a kilt and a wide brimmed hat held the door open for me. "Thank you" I said. "You're welcome" he replied, very well spoken.
I turned to The Missus, and said "I don't know who he is, but I bet he's one of our lot!"
He was indeed a good laugh at the meet, but my favourite memory of him was the look of utter surprise on his face when my then 7 year old daughter climbed under the table, and appeared from between his legs! I think it was the only time I saw him speechless!

He will be sorely missed. The Missus, Kitty and Cheeky Monkey are also shocked.
We all send our best wishes to his family.

I have lost a hootoo brother and a friend.

I can't gather my thoughts together quite yet, but I am glad I met him in Inverness that one time.

He will be sorely missed.

I didn't know TB Falsename, though he did appear on some threads I encountered, and his photo was familiar from Meets.

They say only the good die young, and it would seem so.

i never met TB in real life, but i met him here on hootoo - and i have met people who met him in real life

pheloxi, to name but one...

and any friend of pheloxi would be a friend of me

i hope TB's family will take at least some consolation in the fact that he was loved by all the people, who paid their sympathies here

Deeply shocked to hear of this, and I'd like to ad dmy condolences to those already given by those on here, to his family and friends.

I got to meet him.... quite some years ago now I think at a meet... err somewhere... Birmingham perhaps or... nope can't remember where But I recall him telling or rahter explainign the 'TB' part of his name on here...

Condolences to TBF's family and friends. I didn't know TB (or Pheloxi, for that matter), but they were both part of the fabric that is H2G2, popping up all across the boards. A reminder to us all, to value each other now, as you never know what will happen tomorrow.

It just came bak to me how i first saw tb, mike, as i didnt know him on the day.
