I think surrender monkey has already been taken, by people who wear berets, eat snails, and hoard the Mona Lisa.

Yes. The Mona Lisas are in a country where people eat snails and frog legs.

There are, I belive, at least three Mona Lisas who's origins are unknown, that is the original artist is not known, these date from the time the 'original' was painted and, according to some art historians, may be earlier or later versions painted by Leonardo. There are also sketches by a, then, young Raphael, which appear, to some extent, to fit justify the belief that Leonardo may have done more than one version.

There are more than three others, many artiests copied the painting. That way the historians also found out that there are parts cut off the original painting, I think. There was a collumn on every side, which showed more clearly that Mona Lisa is sitting on a balcony.

Plus, the fact that Leonardo, like many artists at the time occasionaly had students finish off some parts of some paintings doesn't help work out what's genuine and what's not. Also it appears that I was incorrect, the version, which is believed to possably be the first, unfinished, version, which was in the UK, is in Switzerland.
