Get in the Martini
You, oh so stupid, so foolish, drips
Couldn't resist

I created it half an hour ago, but it's taken me that long to get in to tell you. Do you think it's time for a new page? I thought so!!

Merkin: The thread seems to have gotten a jump on you.
Loony: Don't worry, I carried yours over, too.

Just for kicks, I want to throw in my version of the "egyptian" limmerick. I gave you folks "Memphis" to see what you'd do with the rhymes, but then I realized I shouldn't offer something I couldn't rhyme myself, so I wrote this little ditty as well...
By the way, Memphis was an ancient Egyptian place name, the home of the Pharaoh long before it was the home of the King : )
A charming Egyptian in Memphis
Had an unusual way to find bliss
He'd sit on an obelisk
At great personal risk
And disturb any by-passing priss

There was a young man called Chris
Who likes to take the piss
You know he passed water
all over his daughter
When she gave him a f**k and a kiss

May I suggest a way of managing the threading?
First line gets posted with the subject "Limerick *n*" where *n* is the iteration number of the limerick. All lines should be replied in thread to the title, as at present. But when a limerick is finished and it's time for a new one - and here's the radical bit - the poster sets off a new thread in reply to the *oroginal* message.
OK it's not so radical. I'm trying to think of ways to manage "deep thread syndrome"

So does creating cascades actually make the downloading of the page any faster? If it does, I suggest we make haste to L10 and stamp some sense of order on these churlish knaves before they run away with themselves again!!

Absolutely. It's all done with images, and in cascades the images are all the same, and each one only loads once so download time is much shorter

Sorry, thought we were still writing limericks here. You know we're all in the forum over the road? Bring your pint over and join us - I'm sure you can sneek it past the barman.
