"A weather forecast should be just a few words wet dry or overcast. The exceptions are snow or hurricane its not a bloody chat show" [Bobstafford]
You hit the nail on the head! This is why I don't watch TV any more. Indo hear forecasts on the radio sometimes, but obviously I can' see whether the forecaster is perky or not.

Its all posturing and wasted money, and some decent TV gone

TV gone? there's no such thing. The BBC has a cornucopia of delights it can use to fill this recently-vacated slot.
Citizen Khan, The Voice, Snooker, repeats of Coast... (/that's enough crap programmes - ed/)

Endless repeating is one thing, but they never repeat any of the classy stuff like The Marx Brothers, W.C. Fields and Gilligan's - no, I mean Treasure Island, of course [grumble]

Scrap ths show, Clarkson was/is popular because he has a personality and is outspoken. Thats why the show was so very popular.

Time Team's one of my favourites, too. Now there's a show full of geezers and old codgers...
It's currently being repeated at midnight on the Yesterday channel.

"can the beeb afford to lose a mega money maker, no Clarkson and viewing figures could drop ?" [Prof Animal Chaos]
Are there any non-BBC alternatives? If not, then won't people just
watch something else? How do viewing figures affect BBC revenue?
