I was operated on for a blocked kidney when I was ten. No further trouble with it since.

I know the feeling, I've been spending most of my time laying down recently myself after recently discocovering myriad health anomalies that led my sister (A medical PhD) to remark, "Heavens! Is there anything he hasn't got?".
Observation, tablets do have the advantage over standard keyboards that they're easier to use laying down, even if they do give me a crick in the biceps of my key-punching hand.
(One needs the other one to hold the tablet.)
Hands nominally healed up recently from corrective surgery for Depuytren's syndrome.
I should soon be able to go back to sitting up in front of a regular keyboard, though my my physical therapist tells me not to try sitting up more than 15 minutes at time, at least at first, on account of spinal arthritic problems.
I'm dreading the next systo exam for my kidney problems, which I've been deliberately putting off for a time when I've no immediate complicating problems.
Etc., etc., etc.....

Hi folks, well today I'm now officially a pensioner, as it's my 65th birthday!
My sister, who lives in Holland, has been reminding me all day, she has a weird sense of humour
So, I took the day off, and just relaxed all day, kept seeing jobs that needed done, but I promised myself I wouldn't do anything all day.
