That sort of thing would sell very well in a lot of places, until the average BMI hit 37 !!! It doesn't surprise me though, I have seen some advertised with the most unusual ideas ... Locker-room? Class-room? Office copy-room?

I like the more homey stuffs, which for me are things like baked apple and cinnamon, the most subtle of vanilla (some are way too over-powering) ...

Hmmmm, I wonder if someone has made a candle yet of "burned 10,000 volt transformer along with traces of carbon-film resisters and blown capacitors" ?

Hey, maybe there is my route to fame and fortune. Be known for decades as "the man that made the world stink" ...

Maybe I will try blowing glass in some novel fashion, seems a bit better as an epitaph. smiley - winkeye

A little query for you ...

My wife is in a church choir, and a friend of hers from that choir brought her a pair of small gifts from a visit to Jerusalem a month ago. One is a small'ish rosary that appears to be wooden beads, though they may be some sort of dry seeds for all I know. (6 to 8 mm diameter, each has a small bit of a flatted side, each appears to have a hint of a wood-grain)

She was also given a 'peace dove', made of a slightly irridescent white something or other. Flat'ish but with just a hint of curvature.

Any edumacated guesses what the materials, for the rosary or the 'dove' might be? It's just out of curiosity ...

Hmmm.

The rosary is almost certainly olive wood - that's pretty common as a material here, and especially in stuff meant for tourists (since it adds a touch of authentic whatchamacallit smiley - biggrin). The dove, I'm not so sure. Assuming it isn't plastic, perhaps glass or something ceramic? Both sound like reasonable possibilities for an item like this.

It sort of has the colours of some sort of shell creature, but may indeed be plastic. Touristy stuff not being a surprise. smiley - ta

Might be some sort of mother-of-pearl, I suppose. Or even shell. Hard to know, really...
