Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

Umm, yeah, I know that. smiley - erm That's why I used this title. I've never seen the show as far as I remember, but it had a pretty big 'buzz' around it a few years ago, so I just did a bit of a pop-colture-reference.

Sorry, it was such a worthless bit of stuff here, that I hadn't thought it would have found it's way to the international viewing audience.

Oh, we get all the American worthless crap! smiley - biggrin Even stuff they've never heard of themselves.
Like Team Knight Rider.

I had to Google to find out what that one was. smiley - laugh I did quite enjoy the original series though. Perhaps the Lady-technician more so than the cool car. smiley - evilgrin

It was well before your time ... David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight. I caught the first season of it before I stepped into the real world. So atleast 30 years ago. It was never great, maybe on par with "The A-Team" for predictable action and drama. But it appealed to my geeky-teen imagination. smiley - smiley

How's stuff in your life and world this week?

I know _of_ the show, just don't think I ever saw it.

How's stuff? Not too bad, I guess. Nothing special. smiley - smiley

We thought that perhaps spring had arrived, all of our snow gone and mild days. But tonight, we expect another 15 cm of the white stuff. If you'd like something special, I can try to send half of it your way. smiley - evilgrin

We had some crazy weather this week. Warm on Sunday, then Wednesday and yesterday it got cold and stormy, and we even had some snow up north and slush here. smiley - brr
Right now, I'm done with winter. I'll be happy for some heat. smiley - biggrin

Heat? That's the stuff that happens in August, isn't it? smiley - brr

No no, August is the time of Extreme Heat... smiley - winkeye

Hmmmm, for us, August is also usually the peak. This little part of the province reaches about 38C, and being alongside of a bay, the humidity adds to it. To make it feel about 45 to 48C.

I suppose you find that mild'ish? smiley - doh

smiley - yikesYeeep! No, not at all!

You lot get all the possible kinds of nasty weather, huh? We get high 30s in summer, but at least here in Jerusalem the air is usually quite dry. I hate humid heat.

I have no problem, or atleast very little, with the high-30s either. But that addition of the humidity I find saps me of energy. I envy your drier climate, among other things of beauty and history that surround you.

Well, maybe someday. smiley - smiley

The system booted me out yesterday. Claimed my username wasn't recognised. That was scary, for a while... glad it all got fixed.
At least I'm not the only one that this happened to; saw some conversations by people that got the same problem, so that was comforting.
Did you run into any problems signing in, yesterday?

I saw some of that, from work. Natch, I was even trying to be 'on-line' from there. Later, I saw that Jim Lynn had to slap the SSO about the head a bit, and then everything was fine.

How-ever, some serious hootoo-addicts created new accounts, just so they COULD stay active. smiley - doh

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

Yeah, I know.
But I'm not really that active around here anymore (see: me not having posted on h2g2 for a couple of weeks now), so it didn't seem worth the bother.
Besides, I wouldn't have wanted another account. It wouldn't have been the same. This account has a history - it means something, for me. I'd have hated to begin everything from the start again. Don't know if I could do it.

But all's well that ends well... smiley - smiley

I only get in here before my work-day begins, and then again for an hour or two in the evenings. So it's rare that I can carry on a conversation with anyone. Sometimes it saddens me, to have missed a dear friend by hours. But it is what my circumstances demand.

I do still have shakey e-mails from work though. You can drop me a note there, or even the address linked from my PS (disguised as an envelope) and I can find you. If you'd like to exhange a few thoughts.

There's also a link from my PS to a simple photo-page. With piccies of my newest lineage, as of today. smiley - smiley

Well, no, it's not that I intentionally stay off h2g2, or anything. I just do little online now besides reading, or work/Uni related stuff. So emails are just as sparse.

Anyway, don't worry. I'm doing alright. smiley - smiley

Might even check out those piccies, sometime...

I know that you will be alright, m'dear. That doesn't prevent me from wondering and sometimes worrying a little about a friend. smiley - smiley

So onwards ... Have you any work these days, to challenge your available hours?
