OK, someone says this thread has gone off-topic, and then goes on to discuss random guide entries... that does seem a little stupid to me. This thread has been continuously discussing (beside the odd post prehaps) Atled's application to be a CA or things relating to it, it was not off topic. Discussing random entries certainly is off topic. (i'm letting the doorknob discussions pass, because things like that are part of the course in any h2g2 thread)

I'm a Donald Norman fan too, d'E! Affordance and all that. Great stuff.

The original doorknob anecdote arose from the necessity to correct MR's many misconceptions and inaccuracies. It seems d'E, boxing-baboon, Lentilla and Amy are just here to follow Mikey's suggestion (post 143) of deliberately disrupting the thread.
Of course they could just be keeping the thread alive while waiting for Atled's application to be a CA to be accepted.

SEF, you said -- and I am paraphrasing here -- that when the Mensa Conference was "here" they had trouble with the locks. Do you live in a hotel?
I'm waiting for Tango to answer the question who did the graphics that he recently posted to a webpage. I had thought the other researchers were to be lauded for introducing interesting sidebars while we wait.

Oh, Mina, grow up. If you can't say anything honestly, please don't say anything at all. You aren't helping anyone, and you're just making yourself look more and more stupid.
The artwork was done by someone i know offsite.

if you are going to take part in a thread, at least find out what the thread is about.
This is the thread about someone volunteering to be an artist, and being given a test. What artwork do you think we are talking about?

Lil, you seem to be operating under the misapprehension that you should receive an answer to either of these at any time. You don't appear to have any *good* reasons for needing the answers even if you happen to want them. I thought Tango was fairly generous to go to the trouble of uploading the Atled graphics at all given that Mina hadn't bothered and no-one needed to see them if they weren't planning to accept Atled's application.

He was equally generous to have answered Lil's question. If Tango doesn't have a problem with Lil's question, why should you SEF?

Yes, SEF, but then, as they say, the plot thickened.
Tango, is the friend that you know offline also a researcher on h2g2?

I'm a little confused... Tango, you say that you didn't do the graphics? I'm curious to know who did them - not anybody we know, is it?
The circular front page image looks a little naughty, don't you think?

Oh Tango, grow up, you sound like a stuck record. If you can't say anything original, please don't say anything at all. You aren't helping anyone, and you're just making yourself look more and more like a sock puppet.
