Your cat, Willem? She's still typing better than I normally do.
Bel, I hope you get it all sorted. I had a keyboard once that had a stuck space bar. I had to hit it three or four times each time to get it to work. Most annoying.

I once had a keyboard where the B wasn't working. I struggled for a while, then bought a new one. The three or so hours I was away this morning seem to have helped, because it's working better than before.
It's not been that clean for ages, although I had taken off all the keys and cleaned it a few months ago.

The space bar is the most complex key on a normal keyboard. Be very careful before you take it off, because you might not be able to figure out how to put it back on again, or you might snap some of the plastic that holds it in place.

I had no idea! I took them off, one by one, and put them on a tray next to me, in exactly the position I had taken them off.

Good that your keyboard un-screwed-up itself. Don't have an ø? Next you'll tell me you don't have æ or å either? *faints*
Going down to practice some umlauts - the Mrs and I fly to München tomorrow for a weekend and a bit and I stay on until Wed

My laptop is getting a new keyboard. I have to go over and pay for the part before they'll order it.
The good news is, nothing else was damaged in the fire. Resilient, those things. The keys worked even when melted...
I love the idea of leaving it alone for a few hours to let it come to its senses...

I see it is anagram time again.
I had to click on Santra's name, it caught me unaware, but Magwitch is easy now. :D

The keyboards on my Mac's seem to last forever, though I did have to change the mouse once.
However, not so with the keys on my cordless phone. It's really hard to summon up a "1" anymore. I keep waiting for the phone co. to cut me off while I'm stabbing at the final number. Long ago my mom spilled hot chocolate on it. I wonder if that's part of the problem. I wouldn't dare take it apart.
