Is this a laptop keyboard or a separate PC keyboard? Did you spill something on it? Is it a QWERTY keyboard or a QWERTZ one?
I'd send you a new one, Bel, but the cost of shipping it would be more than the cost of you going down to the local PC hardware shop and buying a new one.

I have a spare keyboard, although I am not sure it would connect to your PC. What are your ports like?

If it's a separate keyboard, you should be able to get one for about €15.

Look on the bright side - it makes sense in most Slavic languages.

And you're still typing marginally better than my cat does.

You're still typing more inteligbly than some of us
Not advertising, and don't tknow if they'll deliver to you, but I've always found Ebuyer really cheap for things like keyboards and other computer bits... My current one, the best keyboard I've had in years was about £8 from them I think... MInd, we've dozens of keyboards here as we keep being given/inherating them

We have a spare keyboard. And I would buy a new one if this one hadn't come round again, but thank you all for offering.
I had spilled some watered wine over it last night, but had dried it with a paper towel and thought no more of it. There had been no problems at all last night, so imagine my surprise when it played up this morning. I removed the screws and opened it, cleaned it, dried it, then put it together again - and it was still not working.
However, I had to go to work, so couldn't repeat the exercise then. I guess I'd have tried a hairdryer next, but it seems to be OK now.
It's the cleanest ever since I first connected it to my PC.

It's a good keyboard, more than € 30, so it was worth trying.
I've had it for nearly five years now. I wouldn't want to do with a cheaper one, I use it too often for that. All the cheap ones never lasted for very long. I had removed all the keys not too long ago to clean it, but never opened it before.
The other night I saw on TV that apparently, you can put it in your dishwasher for a thorough cleaning, and it will work once it is completely dry again. That made me optimistic when I realised that there was water in it.

I would recommend highly that you don't put it in your dishwasher. I'm a qualified electronic engineer and I can think of a few different reasons why that would destroy your keyboard.

Oh, I wouldn't try that, of course. But I thought if it can survive a dishwasher, it should be able to survive a bit of water-wine.
I've tried each key now, and they all work fine again.

I've just repaired my main desktop pc. There can't be much left of the original parts now other than the motherboard. Its had new processor, additional RAM, new fans, new hard-drive, upgraded the CD drives to DVD re-write drives. If it goes haywire again it'll be heading for the nearest skip.
