Sure.
I could have sworn you were just a couple of years younger than me - don't ask me why, though.

any news about your son? we want every filthy detail, you know
nah, not really
actually all we want to hear that he is so okay that it makes you feel okay

I had a bit of a shock early this morning when I went to wake up son #2 at 6.30 and found son #1 asleep on a mattress - no blanket, no nothing.
I wondered whether they had had their first argument or something.
Turned out he had visited his other friend who lives just across the street from us, and at 2.00am he decided to take the shortcut and sleep here.

1) He knows he can get from you.
2) Why find he way back to the flat, when he can cross the road to yours?
3) You are his Mum!

He'll not be visiting his friends very often, and he's been here every day after work anyway so I don't really expect to see yet more of him.

It can be an advantage to make the coffee yourself Mala (it was for me anyway, my mums coffee always was a bit on the weak side - now she does have a coffee pad machine, so it is okay)

Sounds very much to me like he's missing his mum alright, no matter if he tries to tell you or any one different.
I make rubbish coffee, I never seem to get the strength right
Adopt me!

I once wondered whther to buy a Senseo (it was on offer), but decided the pads were too expensive on the long run.
