hi sal.
we arent as bad as you
we dont have a dvd player
the phone isnt cordless and sits away from everything else and my mobile is usually in my handbag.
but its a right pain when you try and do something and you pick up the wrong remote and wonder why it isnt doing what you wanty it to do

something slightly linked to the remote topic.
has a habit of putting his mobile on to charge and he forgets where he has put it.
he then gives me earache as he blames me for touching it and not leaving it where he last out it..
the times that we have had to ring it to find it and he still blames me and i never touched it in the first place.

Hi everyone
My answers the door when the doorbell rings on TV. It is one of the few tones he can hear these days.It took a year to teach him the difference when he was young.
There is a remote that will program itself now! It brings all your remotes into one base so you never lose it or the remote codes if the individual original ones are lost.
*thank goodness for universal remotes*

Thank goodness for things that turn off ,and on,,without a remote control. Now a remote that turns hubby over in bed when he snores, that would be a different matter!!!Oh!!and one that fills the kettle, and turns it on...yeah!!!

Hey!! This is I came on to post about what life was like before we had "Remote Controls" and there it was!!!! Now that is Eh!
Any way, remember the old days when you had to get to change channels on the TV??
I think the USA had them long before we did in the UK

evening all...
i remember the tv sets with the dial channel knob, and only getting bbc1 and itv when i was a child.... and in black and white...
i remember sunday evenings listening to the "wireless", the top 20, or "hit parade" as it was called then.... that was followed bt "sing something simple"....

When I was 13 my Dad bought me a wireless for xmas,it was dark green/limegreen with an handle on top and a big dial on side transister we called it,used to sneak it up to bed and have it on under my bedclothes on late Sunday night listening to top 20 on radio Luxenburg,
