*bump*
Yeah, I know there is still plenty of time to organise, but just thought I'd bump the thread so that anyone who hasn't seen it yet might see it.

After much discussion in the SLG/ household, you can put us down as probables
The reason I was umming and aahhing is that's my birthday weekend, but I've just decided that Sevilla is a very nice place to spend it, so I'm just gonna have two next year

Well yes, we can. But my reason being is that my friends will want to celebrate it with me here too...

saranoh - good girl gone Essex Posted Aug 26, 2005
...and they can't *all* come to Sevilla.

That's great news, SLG. And I am also a firm believer in having as many birthday celebrations as possible.

"Carmen's guided walking tour departs daily except Tuesday and Sunday at 7pm from the corner of Calle Sto. Thomas and Calle Miguel MaƱara, near the Alcazar entrance. What you pay is up to you."

A review of the tour for those who need one. I prefer to be surprised. Don't let the first paragraph (or two, actually, since they accidentally repeated it)..... It sounds quite a lot of fun!

Cr@p.. Don't let the first paragraph put you off. I think he meant that the appearance was part of the "show".

Well... I would love a chance to get out of the UK. I still haven't managed it, and a hootoo meet sounds like a great excuse... I mean, justification. Could I go on the "interested" list?

Nice link, Mudhooks. I thought her normal tour went out at 5pm, but perhaps it depends on the time of year. Well, if I can't book her for a private tour then any of us who are interested can just join her regular tour.
Tonight Noggin and I were out having tapas after the cinema - at one of the places we want to take everyone on Saturday night - and we noticed there were actually quite a few vegetarian options.

Well, how does this sound?
For those that arrive Friday afternoon/evening we go out for a sit-down meal at one of our favourite tapa bars. The idea being that everyone can get to know each other.
----------------
Saturday 'official mini-meet day'
Brekky at the breakfast bar (10am?)
Sightseeing stuff (including Carmen/horse-carriage rides/visits to the Royal Palace and gardens/Cathedral and tower/ whatever)
Lunch/snack option
Evening we meet around 8pm to go to two very typical places for very typical Spanish food. The first place will be for 'starters' and manzanilla, the second for some seriously fabulous food.
After that, well, Bob's yer oyster . . . can either check out some flamenco or hit the Irish Pub . . . whatever you like.
Late Sunday brunch at the Irish Pub (since they serve all-day brekky) for whoever wants to come.
I think the 'plan' is flexible enough so that people can either join in or else do their own thing.
-------------
For Ben,Z,Teucher and Mr T who will arrive on Thursday evening, I hope they don't mind if we whisk them away to a couple of smaller and very quaint tapas places for their first meal in Sevilla.
