The fruit of our dreams are
Shrivelled by the dawn
Our secret dreams are hidden
From the intellectuals scorn
To hide our peurile weakness
We attack the stronger man
And are beaten for our troubles
And so all wars began
For we all need admiration
Looked up to by the mob
If that takes a bit of strong arm
Some fool will always do the job.

Power(of knowing and having friends)
Standing on the edge of eternity, looking out over the void.
Do I see the past, present or future,
the answer will always be unknown
Have I past this way before on a never-ending carousel,
could it be a journey of one direction only.
Time is not endless in our way of thinking.
The same questions repeat through the cycle of rebirth,
no one returns from the outward journey.
To remain the same at the start.
Life is not a task, no matter the struggle,
just a mere atom in a universe of many.
To spend a lifetime in search of the answer to the quest,
you miss the very substance that is all around.
A speck of dust, can hold a life of knowledge,
a second glance is given not.
To blame the past, today or the future,
changes nothing in the progression of time.
The circle will never be broken,
different life, still the outcomes the same.
Standing on the edge of eternity,
who knows when my journey started.
Who cares if ever it will end,
I will enjoy each second,be it repeated,
or first time round.
For I carry for always and forever,
two words I can never forget.
......."my friends".......
Makes my journey worthwhile...
mine.

Awesome Prof. A philosophy of life encapsulated in liquid language. Thank you!
And now for something completely different...
The Devil drives my digits as I sit at this keyboard steering me to naughty websites where man's lust for life is featured in photos most explicit and the physical perfections are distorted in desires and in depravity and life's stranger needs are evident and nothing is held back...but this is tunnel vision of one part of what we are for the whole is much much greater than this grubby little part and the magic of life's beauty will deliver us to love that is aesthetic and to humble awe of... 'The All That Is.'
Get Thee behind me Satan.
And don't shove!!

No One Wants Natural
No one wants natural any more
said the owner, the film maker
I'm not being evil, just factual
He was busy counting the cash
from the mugs, (a bit for the girls of course)
Ten years later on the Cancer Ward
- the Private one - he had cash of course -
He was natural enough:
What are my chances
Of recovery? he begged the nearest nurse.
I'm not being fearful
Just factual.

It's darkest before dawn
They say
But it's been dark both
Night and Day
I still wait for
The sunrise
The suprise
Of learning dawn is here
And I am free

Why did the monarch of Alspeth Latroon
Build a grand palace as big as the moon?
He didn't need elbow room, didn't store wine,
Had no large harem, had few friends to dine.
It took him two years for to visit each room.
"My ego," he argued, "needs more space to bloom."

The roses came forth in splendid bloom
the garden picturesque by evenings fall
and come the dawn the sun did shine
as it shone in it's majestic glory

but alas and alack they've nicked the roses
yon gardens grey and the day is blackened

If a horse stands on your toe
Quickly cry 'Giddup,' then 'Whoa!'
They are quite heavy...horses,
And mischeivous with it.
They probably chuckle inwardly
At your pain,
But not with any evil in their heart.
After all,
They are not human.

The Platypus
MY child, the Duck-billed Platypus
A sad example sets for us:
From him we learn how Indecision
Of character provokes Derision.
This vacillating Thing, you see,
Could not decide which he would be,
Fish, Flesh, or Fowl, and chose all three.
The scientists were sorely vexed
To classify him; so perplexed
Their brains, that they, with Rage at bay,
Called him a horrid name one day,--
A name that baffles, frights and shocks us,
Ornithorhynchus Paradoxus.

He who who has not punned,
Let him cast the first stone.
Playgoers sit there stunned.
Let them first stone the cast.
A heart of stone.
The hand that rocks the cradle.
Each the antithesis of the other.
The hardness of authority.
The softness of a mother.
The endurance of rock.
The weakness of flesh.
The confusion of existence
Where solid reality confronts us always,
And turns us from our inner dreams.
So we often find
We are between the rock
And the hard place.
Stone the flamin' crows!

The marshmallow is a sad little beast,
So tender and plump, and just right for a feast,
And then we flambe it while pierced with a spit,
And surely it doesn't enjoy it a bit

Showers and flowers, a poet's delight
Resplendently colourful, a heart warming sight
But rain down your neck is not really a good thing
Each clouds silver lining oft hides a cold wet sting
But water's soft beauty makes wet necks a small thing
While Gaia's life blood's, in our blood, resonating.

Coloured showers?
It must be a circus.
Look, the clown leaned over and kissed my mother
Are we at the circus?
Tame tightrope walkers
Are we at the circus?
We must be at the circus
Look - a lady swimming with skinny looking dolphins
In a transparent tent in the middle of the sawdust ring,
Leaking water.
We must be at the circus.
Chippendale's. Yes it must be.
Chippendale's Provincial Circus.
Look at the Peanut-Crunching Crowd.
