Life is the biggest
Four letter word I know.
Its scope is vast
its meaning deep.
In its fragile care
We chance to grow,

Universe.

Who are we.

We are but grains of sand, in the vastness of the universe.
blown by the winds of space, on a journey never able to finish.
For we are bent on self destruction, aided by mother nature herself.
Mankind in all his so called wisdom, has thrown the balance in disarray.
The quest for greed and power, robs him of his self dignity.
Always blinded to the needs of others, he will kill many who stand in his way.
But take thought for the future mankind, when one day you will cease to exist.
No one to read your historical legacy, nothing but dust will remain in your place.

water

Water! Water! It’s everywhere
It’s in the seas, it’s in the air
It’s in the ground, it’s in the lakes
It’s in your food and in your breath
Needed to live, too much you die
Precious element, wasted in parts
Ample sources where not wanted
Scarce supplies where needed most
More valuable than oil and gold combined
But no profit in transportation
Water! Water! It’s everywhere
Just like blood, it’s spilt without care

subject: new/newness

I'd like to see this tired world anew
with wider senses or with senses I can't
imagine. The comedian Bill Hicks now dead
agreed with many philosophers for example
David Hume, Bertrand Russell, Immanuel Kant,
most of the hindu gurus too that this
world is an illusion constructed by the brain
from the limited senses we have. In his words
this world is just a fairground ride which
seems real but isn't. I struggle to understand
what he means, but you know what he means.

This poem I'm writing
Is very exciting,
But I've yet to find a good subject.
I've thought of loud mimes
And erotic windchimes,
And many a whimsical project.
Does anyone know
How to cook a dead crow,
Or find where the rainbows all end?
Could we live on the moon,
Or make steel from a dune?
This poem has gone nowhere, my friend.
