Going really well, been on a field trip to Avebury, maybe another to the Orkney islands in summer. I'm just getting more and more fascinated by it as i find out more.
Theres quite a lot of sociology involved too, and that's interesting as well. Keep watching tv Em, i may be famous one day.

I'll keep my eyes open for you on the Discovery Channel.
I would be interested in the sociology bits - how the tools, etc show that the people groups live and work together.

Yeah that's the sort of thing, and finding parallels with living people. Ethnography it's called, never thought i'd be interested by stuff like that.
I'm hoping to discover something to do with Neolithic brewing practices so i can test my theories out around the world.

You can be my North American research assistant .
You travelling abroad this year Emee? For the honeymoon or anything?
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Jan 14, 2004
I would *love* to travel abroad. Haven't in quite a while. In fact, I'd like to elope to Gretna Green, but I don't think that will happen. We both have car payments. And we need to find a bigger place to live. He's moving here & I know we won't be able to fit all of our things in my place. Sometimes I really don't like living in the center of the US. It takes so long to get anywhere.

Yeah, i never really thought about that before. I suppose in the time it takes you to get to the coast, we could be in Europe.
Sell up and move to California Em, the beetle would look great on the strip. Are you still living in the green house? or did you finally get it painted
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Jan 14, 2004
Yep. Four hour flight just to get to LA - and that's if you're lucky & find a direct flight.
*sigh* Still have the green floor. Ugh. However, I did find some lovely scatter rugs that bring out the yellow and introduce some pink. The rugs were faster than totally redoing the floor.

I can see you and the bf/hubby now, sitting on the balcony sipping mint juleps and watching the distant tornado's scurrying across the fields .
Got to go now Emee, bedtime i'm afraid, work calls. Been really nice to hear from you again, i hope you'll be about a bit more after the vacation. If i don't catch you before have a time, and bring me back a snowball.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Jan 14, 2004
Margaritas might be a bit more likely. Tornados are almost a certainty.
I hope I'll be about more too. I'll talk to you later.
Good evening

Didn't end up skiing. Too chicken. Did go ride a snowmobile. That was a lot of fun even though the fiance managed to tip us over into a snowbank. Mostly sat in the condo and read and watched crap TV and enjoyed not doing much of anything.

Oh how romantic, snow, a warm fire, and someone you love. It sounds idyllic Em, i am so jealous i've turned green look ....... And i notice that a ring was forthcoming too .
Isn't life funny, all that time ago we started chatting, who'd have predicted you being swept off your feet and deposited in a snowdrift .
I was shocked to learn you had crap tv there too though, i thought we'd cornered the market for that with our daytime offerings
Good evening

Oh no, we have LOTS of rubbish on during the day. Soap operas - which I can't stand, old TV show reruns, movies you've seen hundreds of times already, but get sucked into when you're channel .

Sorry about that Emee, a nasty attack of RL overtook me there .
Well what's the news from tornado alley? I hope things are progressing well in all areas, , showbiz, and work. (I know the last ones a bit optimistic, but we can live in hope)
Good evening

Actually, work isn't all that bad. Moved to a new department and I like what I'm working on. Makes a lot of difference.
Showbiz is fab, baby. We open Saturday and are getting a lot of press. Some of it's even good.
life is the best. Eloped on Feb. 7. .
RL is such a pain. My MIL was in a car accident Monday last. She's fine but my husband () had to drive her to pick up her new car. On Saturday. Valentine's Day. He was forgiven when he came back with 12 .

Well, well..........i leave you alone for 4 weeks, and when i come back you've been and got pregnant.
CONGRATULATIONS EMEE
(Obviously i'll have to drink the champers, no alchohol for you at the moment) So tell all, was this a little suprise, or part of a plan? You going to find out if it's a boy or girl, or just leave it till the birth?
And just how pleased are you and hubby, delighted i guess?
I'm so pleased for you my duck, i just know you're going to love this time. If you need any advice i'm your man
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Mar 22, 2004
Thanks!
I think we'll try to find out. Going to have a tractor-themed nursery if it's a boy.
It was a surprise. Had thought we'd wait a year or two to start a family. Getting started a bit sooner. W're both excited. Husband is worried about finances though. Everything I've read says that's normal, so I'm not too concerned yet.
Good evening

Oooooo it's such an exciting time.
I like the idea of the tractor themed nursery, but don't let hubby get too carried away or you might end up with a son called John Deere, massey Ferguson, or even worse Ford X14/2b
Have you thought about wether you'll go back to work after the birth, or will this be your big chance to escape from there?
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Mar 22, 2004
With my hubbby it would have to be John Deere.
I'd like to be able to stay home afterwards, but even if we can afford for me to do that, I have to come back to work for a certain length of time (not sure exactly how long) so that the insurance will cover the delivery cost & so I don't have to pay anything back to the company for my maternity leave. Have until late October/early November to decide.
