Ow the shame of it...........having to get your codpiece enhanced, thats more painful than the cut from the glasssmiley - laugh.

As we're both in the same position work wise, i think it's time for a smiley - cuddle, a nice slice of smiley - cake, and a smiley - stiffdrink

smiley - cheers

Post 405

Emee, out from under the rock

smiley - yikes That's not good. I do wear them from time to time. Not usually when working on theatre though. The building dries out my eyes. smiley - erm Have mild astigmatism so still a bit blurry with them in. I have vision insurance through my work, so it doesn't cost as much as it might.

I was considering having that laser eye treatment, a chap at work had it done and said it's fantastic. The only drwback is the £1000 price tagsmiley - bigeyes

Hope you had a smiley - lovely weekend, mine wasn't too severe, even managed a smiley - stiffdrink or two.smiley - winkeye

Emee, out from under the rock

Exactly why I'm still in glasses and contacts.

I managed more than one smiley - stiffdrink and ended up having to go to an all-night restaurant with friends before driving home. smiley - erm

You get more fun in one weekend than i get in a yearsmiley - biggrin.

Drinks, theatre, drinks, all night restaurants...........drinks ( I see a theme developing)smiley - laugh

That's me for two days now though..........i think i'll have a smiley - stiffdrink to celebrate, then a trip to the British equivilant of an all night restaurant.............the fridgesmiley - erm.

Good evening

Emee, out from under the rock

smiley - laugh The all night restaurant is a wonderful thing. In town we have 3 choices: IHOP, Denny's, or Village Inn - all chains.

As for fun, that's why I started in with theatre. I'm making up for lost time. Didn't drink during my college years. I don't have nearly this much fun when I'm not working on shows. I sit around the house and watch shows that are rip offs from British TV. smiley - laugh

Good evening

That's a co-incidence, cos most British shows now seem to be a rip-off of American shows smiley - laugh.I think they'll carry on til theres only one programme on all channelssmiley - erm.

Just in from evening class, and i had a ballsmiley - magic

That's right Emee, had a brilliant first night last night. Then today i went on my first 'dig', i can't tell you how exciting today was, i've been watching 2000 year old Roman artifacts pulled out of the ground.smiley - magic

Emee, out from under the rock

smiley - wow How cool is that?

I read a book once (fictional) about a group that excavates a vexillation fortress. How exciting. Have you been allowed to pull anything up or are you just observing?

Good evening

smiley - wow spot on Emee, this was a vexillation fortress i was at today !, it's one of the earliest Roman fortresses inland, and attached to a later Roman town.

I didn't actually do any digging, but they let me handle some of the finds.......2000 years since the last person touched them smiley - bigeyes

smiley - wow That is so cool! I always thought it would be cool to be an archeologist, but didn't like the idea of working in Egypt. Why I have always associated archeology with Egypt is a mystery to me. smiley - erm

I think you're right about the King Tut thing. I still remember the spread in National Geographic. It will be interesting to see what's discovered in Iraq. All that lovely desert to preserve things in.
