The stage crew actually talked about that very thing on headset. Poor guy. We had to stuff his codpiece too.
Missed you too, airscotia. Sorry to hear you're having to work. I have too this week. Deadlines. Ugh.
Good evening

Ow the shame of it...........having to get your codpiece enhanced, thats more painful than the cut from the glass.
As we're both in the same position work wise, i think it's time for a , a nice slice of , and a

I forgot you wear glasses Emee, i do too, and it costs a fortune. Can you wear contacts? i had a nightmare when i tried them ,i could get them in ........couldn't get 'em out again
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Sep 12, 2003
That's not good. I do wear them from time to time. Not usually when working on theatre though. The building dries out my eyes. Have mild astigmatism so still a bit blurry with them in. I have vision insurance through my work, so it doesn't cost as much as it might.

I was considering having that laser eye treatment, a chap at work had it done and said it's fantastic. The only drwback is the £1000 price tag
Hope you had a ly weekend, mine wasn't too severe, even managed a or two.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Sep 15, 2003
Exactly why I'm still in glasses and contacts.
I managed more than one and ended up having to go to an all-night restaurant with friends before driving home.
Good evening

You get more fun in one weekend than i get in a year.
Drinks, theatre, drinks, all night restaurants...........drinks ( I see a theme developing)
That's me for two days now though..........i think i'll have a to celebrate, then a trip to the British equivilant of an all night restaurant.............the fridge.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Sep 16, 2003
The all night restaurant is a wonderful thing. In town we have 3 choices: IHOP, Denny's, or Village Inn - all chains.
As for fun, that's why I started in with theatre. I'm making up for lost time. Didn't drink during my college years. I don't have nearly this much fun when I'm not working on shows. I sit around the house and watch shows that are rip offs from British TV.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted Sep 16, 2003
That's a co-incidence, cos most British shows now seem to be a rip-off of American shows .I think they'll carry on til theres only one programme on all channels.
Just in from evening class, and i had a ball
Good evening

Well, I know we stole Trading Spaces from Changing Rooms.
I'm glad you're enjoying your class. Which one are you taking? You're 'reading' archeology, right?
Good evening

That's right Emee, had a brilliant first night last night. Then today i went on my first 'dig', i can't tell you how exciting today was, i've been watching 2000 year old Roman artifacts pulled out of the ground.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Sep 17, 2003
How cool is that?
I read a book once (fictional) about a group that excavates a vexillation fortress. How exciting. Have you been allowed to pull anything up or are you just observing?
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted Sep 17, 2003
spot on Emee, this was a vexillation fortress i was at today !, it's one of the earliest Roman fortresses inland, and attached to a later Roman town.
I didn't actually do any digging, but they let me handle some of the finds.......2000 years since the last person touched them
Good evening

That is so cool! I always thought it would be cool to be an archeologist, but didn't like the idea of working in Egypt. Why I have always associated archeology with Egypt is a mystery to me.

It's the tutenkhamon thing i think, that's where most of our generation first learnt about Archaeology .
It looks like Iraq is going to be the next big one ,now the scientists can get back in.
Anyway enough of me .........how's you hun?
?
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Sep 18, 2003
I think you're right about the King Tut thing. I still remember the spread in National Geographic. It will be interesting to see what's discovered in Iraq. All that lovely desert to preserve things in.
I'm doing alright. Really tired today. Didn't sleep well last night. Work is still carp. BF is still a good thing. Booking a vacation in January. Hoping it's not too soon to plan that far ahead.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted Sep 18, 2003
Not too early, planning ahead is one of the pleasures. Where are you going? Somewhere romantic?
I've been sleeping badly just lately too, keep waking up with a headache in the morning feeling like i've not slept.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Sep 19, 2003
