*flings door open*

Hello, airscotia. Glad you didn't have to w*rk Sunday. BBQ sounds good. smiley - drool It wasn't all that bad. Had my hair cut Saturday morning then went to a party. The former cast wanted to see the video of the show since they never got to see it in production. Sunday went to see 'Hamlet'. It was sooooo bad. Just very poorly done. There's supposed to be some emotion in the voice when you do the 'To be or not to be' speech. smiley - cross Had rehearsals so left at intermission. smiley - winkeye

Hope your day is going or went well.smiley - cheers

I thought you looked different, of course it's the haircut, very nice.smiley - magic. And another party!smiley - bigeyes

Coo that must of been a stinker of a production if you walked outsmiley - wow, but i suppose it's quite difficult for you watching something, you'll always be casting a critical eye over it 'cos you know what to look forsmiley - winkeye.Much the same way as i criticise everyone else's drivingsmiley - laugh

The day has gone.............ok................ish.smiley - biggrin

Emee, out from under the rock

Well, I really did have to get to rehearsals. If I'd stayed for much of the second act, I would have been late. smiley - erm

I criticize people's driving too. smiley - yikes Have to quit that. smiley - erm

Sorry it's only okayish. smiley - erm Have a smiley - hug and a smiley - smooch and some smiley - bubbly.

I've just read your 'engine light' posting, that's an annoying little devil isn't it. The good thing is, with these modern diagnostics, that it will usually be some minor little blip. It could even be that at 19k it's due an oil and water check.smiley - erm.

My day not too boring..........looking forward to the weekend thoughsmiley - biggrin. On Saturday we're off to Stafford to visit my sister, Sunday drive down to Folkestone and stay overnight, then Monday Eurotunnel to France for a bit of Euro-shoppingsmiley - magic.

That sounds like fun. Especially the shopping bit. *checks bank account* Nope. I can't go with. smiley - erm *sigh*

The man at the shop said it was the 'knock sensor'. Something to do with the gasoline maybe.

Hmmmmmmmm never heard of that before, but i'm not very techy when it comes to cars. Do you have garages like ours, where they lie through their teeth, then rip you off? I hate garages smiley - grr

Good evening

Post 374

Emee, out from under the rock

Yes. smiley - grrsmiley - steam That's why I took it to the place I did. They'll read the code off the computer for you for free. I have a garage I usually go to that's pretty good. They call & tell me how much it will cost before they fix anything. With the VW, I might have to find a new one. Don't know if they work on foreign cars or not. smiley - erm For this sensor thing I can take it to the dealer though.

My grandfather is a mechanic, so sometimes I'll ask him how much parts/labor should cost so I can compare.

The trouble with modern cars is that you are at the mercy of the garage, they are just too complicated to start playing with.smiley - erm.

A new car is good though, warrenty sorts out most problems.smiley - winkeye

Good evening

Emee, out from under the rock

Exactly. You can't just start poking around under the 'bonnet'. Just to add oil I have to take this engine cover thingie off before I can even get to the oil cap.

I got the car with 8K miles on it, so it has some warranty left. *sigh of relief*

smiley - magic Swordfights eh, i'm sure you'll be on hand to make sure they swash their buckle properly smiley - laugh

I take it this is going to involve a load of men leaping about in tights?..............steady girl, you'll have palpitations smiley - bigeyes

Good evening

Post 380

Emee, out from under the rock

smiley - laugh Yes. There are tights. They're even referenced in the text of the play. I'm just waiting for the dress rehearsal. smiley - bigeyessmiley - winkeye
