Indiana Air and the Temptress of OOOOOOOOOOOklahoma.

* Knock knock *
Please miss, is Emee coming out to play?
Not too bad a weekend as things turned out. Didn't have to work Sunday so had a BBQ instead, and invited a few neighbours round.( Not to eat obviously). How did the weekend treat my favourite Oklahoman(is that right?), plenty of and s i hope.
Good evening

Hello, airscotia. Glad you didn't have to w*rk Sunday. BBQ sounds good. It wasn't all that bad. Had my hair cut Saturday morning then went to a party. The former cast wanted to see the video of the show since they never got to see it in production. Sunday went to see 'Hamlet'. It was sooooo bad. Just very poorly done. There's supposed to be some emotion in the voice when you do the 'To be or not to be' speech. Had rehearsals so left at intermission.
Hope your day is going or went well.

I thought you looked different, of course it's the haircut, very nice..And another party!
Coo that must of been a stinker of a production if you walked out, but i suppose it's quite difficult for you watching something, you'll always be casting a critical eye over it 'cos you know what to look for.Much the same way as i criticise everyone else's driving
The day has gone.............ok................ish.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Aug 25, 2003
Well, I really did have to get to rehearsals. If I'd stayed for much of the second act, I would have been late.
I criticize people's driving too. Have to quit that.
Sorry it's only okayish. Have a and a and some .
Good evening

Awww. Thanks. I needed that. Crummy morning getting the car sorted. Will eventually have to visit dealership.
Hope your day's been better.

I've just read your 'engine light' posting, that's an annoying little devil isn't it. The good thing is, with these modern diagnostics, that it will usually be some minor little blip. It could even be that at 19k it's due an oil and water check..
My day not too boring..........looking forward to the weekend though. On Saturday we're off to Stafford to visit my sister, Sunday drive down to Folkestone and stay overnight, then Monday Eurotunnel to France for a bit of Euro-shopping.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Aug 26, 2003
That sounds like fun. Especially the shopping bit. *checks bank account* Nope. I can't go with. *sigh*
The man at the shop said it was the 'knock sensor'. Something to do with the gasoline maybe.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted Aug 26, 2003
Hmmmmmmmm never heard of that before, but i'm not very techy when it comes to cars. Do you have garages like ours, where they lie through their teeth, then rip you off? I hate garages
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Aug 26, 2003
Yes. That's why I took it to the place I did. They'll read the code off the computer for you for free. I have a garage I usually go to that's pretty good. They call & tell me how much it will cost before they fix anything. With the VW, I might have to find a new one. Don't know if they work on foreign cars or not. For this sensor thing I can take it to the dealer though.
My grandfather is a mechanic, so sometimes I'll ask him how much parts/labor should cost so I can compare.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted Aug 26, 2003
The trouble with modern cars is that you are at the mercy of the garage, they are just too complicated to start playing with..
A new car is good though, warrenty sorts out most problems.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Aug 26, 2003
Exactly. You can't just start poking around under the 'bonnet'. Just to add oil I have to take this engine cover thingie off before I can even get to the oil cap.
I got the car with 8K miles on it, so it has some warranty left. *sigh of relief*
Good evening

Hope you manage to get it sorted, i'm rather looking forward to a tour of Oklahoma in that car one day
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Aug 28, 2003
You got it.
The light went out on its own. Still not sure what the problem was. It seems happy now though.
We have swordfight practice tonight for the show. I hope the guys remember their moves.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted Aug 28, 2003
Swordfights eh, i'm sure you'll be on hand to make sure they swash their buckle properly
I take it this is going to involve a load of men leaping about in tights?..............steady girl, you'll have palpitations
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Aug 29, 2003
Yes. There are tights. They're even referenced in the text of the play. I'm just waiting for the dress rehearsal.
