Hello Moira
Now your central heating is working, does that make you a "baked bean-sidhe"?
(Email following)
DOGS (I sneeze around cats and they think I'm hissing at them and start scratching me) (It's true!)

Oops - sorry - forgot my question.....
Getting up and walking to the tv OR staying in the armchair and using the remote control
This or That ?
Scarlet Woman, (new and improved)! Posted Feb 11, 2003
That's easy - in a frantic attempt to get fit for the summer - my new year's resolution is to move the three or four steps it takes me to change channels manually. I have great faith that this will render me fabulously toned in a few weeks.
Now this is a tough one:
Sex or Shopping?
This or That ?
Mycelium Posted Feb 11, 2003
a tough one? I think not. I don't have much patience for shopping, even record shops get to me after a while. I suppose if you went to Soho or Amsterdam you could combine the two.
Strawberry Jam or Marmalade?
This or That ?
Scarlet Woman, (new and improved)! Posted Feb 11, 2003
marmelade for sure - but not chunky - I was always a fan of Golden Shred! So a homemade version of that is good for me. On toast. Or. On really plasticy white bread - sandwiches - made with salty butter.
Have I been too specific?
Squid or prawn?
This or That ?
Beansidhe Posted Feb 14, 2003
Squid - OOV can do things with squid you wouldn't want to know - but the taste is to die for!!
We seem to be out of synch up here in Pictland - is this down to the failure of signalling on the underground, the lads out playing at Heathrow & OOV's little ominous bag near the door??????

euuch!!! calamari? uch a fi!!!
no, please stop, i feel sick. it's like trying to chew bicycle inner-tubes. ....although they're alright in Paella, but still......
nah, i'd have to disagree with you there.
mmmmm, prawns........
wot? no this-or-that?
This or That ?
Beansidhe Posted Feb 14, 2003
Very sorry, MyCelium I think that must have been my first 'senior' moment. I plead guilty due to hunger & neglect and throw myself on the mercy of the court ... let's see, you're into music, so,
Monica ... or Alicia Keys?
This or That ?
Mycelium Posted Feb 16, 2003
are we talking 'Brandy&Monica' Monica? (I can't think of any others)
Alecia Keys. I saw her on Jools Holland a few years ago and bought her album after seeing her and her band play. She also played us a bit of Beethoven when she was doing the 'chat' on Jools' piano seat.
And she's gorgeous.
Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison?
This or That ?
Mycelium Posted Feb 20, 2003
now that IS a tricky one. on the one hand, we have the likes of Hendrix, Gilmour, Joe Walsh, Peter Green, John Squire and countless others. but then, on the other hand, none of them can play like Segovia or John Williams. nope, i can't decide that way...
the electric's easier to play and to play around on, but the acoustic sounds nicer. yeah. i did used to play my acoustic more than my electric, mostly because it didn't need plugging in and because a Les Paul is much heavier and doesn't sit comfortably on my lap.
sod it, i'm going to sit on the fence by saying Acoustic, but a miked-up acoustic, so effects can still be used.
Dark Side of the Moon or Wish You Were Here?
This or That ?
akira100 Posted Feb 21, 2003
I'm going to cheat on this one, Mycelium;
Dark Side to watch in concert and Wish You Were Here to sit at home and listen to. Which reminds me, I used to have Animals on eight track! There was a linking guitar solo from the end back to the beginning by Snowy White (remember him?) to make it into a continuous piece of music. The mad seventies, eh?
100 watt or 40 watt bulbs?
This or That ?
Seannachie Posted Feb 22, 2003
40 for ambience!
Spiders or caterpillars?
BTW, MyC, 'M' says she agrees with you on Alicia - so, for that matter, do I. We saw that one too! Jools is required TV, even for a couple of old folkies like us!
This or That ?
Mycelium Posted Feb 23, 2003
Spiders. They keep the flies down.
Sausage Roll or Pork Pie?
This or That ?
Beansidhe Posted Feb 23, 2003
Pork Pies!! For ever & ever. Super snack.
Thanks MyCelium, you reminded me to yell at the other half to get some when we go shopping, later.
Now let's see who's who, here ....
Coke or Pepsi?
This or That ?
Mycelium Posted Mar 3, 2003
to be honest, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference. but. pepsi sued Pop Will Eat Itself for making a PWEI logo based on Pepsi's, so for that reason and that reason alone, Coca Cola.
Hammond Organ or Pianoforte?
This or That ?
Scarlet Woman, (new and improved)! Posted Mar 4, 2003
neither - I feel the triangle is much under rated! (NOT)
No - seriously - the pirana forte - has such great ivories...
No - really seriously, the piano forte...
the bag-pipes or the harmonica? - (now I reckon that's a tough one).
This or That ?
Mycelium Posted Mar 4, 2003
Not so tough for a John Mayall and Sonny Boy Williamson II fan. Oh, and ol' Don Van Vliet, he knew how to torture people with a mouth harp. Besides which, there doesn't seem to be as much room for expression on the 'pipes.
Chilli con Carne or Spaghetti Bolognaise?
This or That ?
Beansidhe Posted Mar 6, 2003
Chili con carne!! Heavy on the chili!
OOV says I have too many brain-cells, anyway. He likes it, too, and makes it from fresh - hot enough for my nose to start sweating a good 30 secs before the rest of me catches fire!
Rhogan Josh or Cicken Chow Mein?
