Just read t'backlog...
ok, there were times when the non-Joshncaleb side got heated. However, look at the stimuli: 'The average homosexual rarely lives beyond the age of 39', Caleb's worry that his recently-outed cousin was going to molest him etc. I can honestly say there's nothing I wish I hadn't posted. Plenty I wish I had, tho.

quite agree Mandragora, grrrrrrrrrrrrr, fed-up that its all allowed on here though and is not seen as braking the rules.

I think if a person who would be deeply offended by their remarks found this thread, then they would feel happy at the strength of the opposing remarks from the community. And hopefully they would then feel welcome here.

Oops, on reading t'backlog i looked at the first page of postings. My rambling on about how 'offensive' Caleb was now sounds a bit silly. To be honest (now that he's gone) i was just trying to be as provocative as possible without calling him 'stupid'. I kind of dug myself into a little hole there, oops.

I don't know 'bout that, his remark about 'keeping her legs closed' was hardly a positive self-introduction.
I would prefer it if such Yikesable comments (and unpleasant link) stayed if they were part of a constructive debate (like this one), and relevent to it, more likely to make progress.

hello everyone. it's me binCALEB thank you for leaving thease messages i like seeing what people say about you behind your back.
first of all i am no longer a haomophobe because i am not afraid of homosexuals. i'm not atractive to women why should i think i'm atractive to men.
jeasus was very anti-gay. he spoke often of how it was an abomination. my religion is indeed based upon forgiveness but you have to ask for it before you can recieve it.
the reason i am able to post "homophobic messages" on here is the same reason that you can post anti-christian messages.
i would like to have a conversation with this Justin person. he sounds like a very intelegent person.
the reason i've been gone is because school was out for the summer. i am now working like a dog and haven't had much time to review the posts
i don't have many answers to your questions

Nah, we got bored quite swiftly.
In the course of your absence 2 people have run away from informed debate. It is reassuring to see you return.
How were your jollidays?
You don't know that you're not attractive to women, you've not met every single one yet. Or men, for that matter... but trust me, a decent person who is attracted to you is not going to press their attentions on you if you don't want that. Whatever their gender or orientation. (Psychos and the unbalanced, I can't speak for.)
Still, fear isn't the only reason (Hoovooloo once argued for a replacement of the term 'homophobia' since that implies fear only, where the actual reasons may be manifold (luv that word...))
No one is posting anti-Christian messages. Are there any in particular that bother you? I cannot speak for everyone here but I am definately not anti-Christian. I had one of the most enlightened and pleasant discussions ever with a wonderful Christian friend of mine recently, in which we both managed to.... (ta-dah!) agree. So no problems there.
Justin, after a slight upheaval in which the question of whether he was real or not arose, appears to have left us... no, he was *not* intelligent. Well, I suppose he may have been in a way but that way would include redefining a great many words to give them new and strange definitions of his own, comparing Catholics to Al-Quaeda and numerous other points of interest. The thread's there to read if you wish.

Bin Ca.., er, Caleb. Hello again.
These messages were said directly to you, not behind your back. It was you who chose not to address them.
You may not be afraid of homosexuals, but you are afraid of homosexuality. Think about it.
You misspelt the name of your God, "Jesus". How was he "anti-gay"?
Justin was genuinly mistaken for a computer program by almost everyone who talked to him because of a (and in retrospect a very funny) joke some unknown person played upon him, and us. He was in no way intelligent.

Just a thought:
If God disapproves of homosexuality so, why did he make so many of His animals with homosexual behaviour?
AFAIR, Homosexuality is only called an abomination in the Old Testament, I can't think of any instances where Jesus is said to have denounced it. (I could be wrong).
The biggest case against homosexuality in the New Testament comes from the writings of Paul; but his work is not 'the word of Jesus' and more importantly runs contrary to the central message of the new Testament and the four gospels in particular. His books are at best questionable, and at worst counter-Christian.

Aye. There was a chap on the radio today (topic was gay adoption), saying that it was 'totally unnatural' and children should not be subjected to 'unnatural things'.
Okaayyyyy... (refer to God thread for a brief discussion on naturalness or not of this and related things, including absolutely faithful monogamy.)
Paul had, at best, a jaundiced view of most things. If you take the stupid argument used by some of the homophobic persuasion, that it's because 'gay men hate women', shouldn't he have been gay?

Children should not be subjected to unnatural things? What, like driving them about in cars and stuff? Dressing them in sythetic fabrics? What?

Golly, I thought this thread had long since died.
I'm glad to see it's back; anyone up for some fundamentalist-baiting?
Hiya Caleb!

Unnatural things? such as bottle feeding, disposable nappies, clothes?
Surely, the most important thing is that children have 2 loving supportive parents that will nurture/protect/educate/care for them etc.

ah, old friends...
I would say it is unhealthy for children to be subjected to fools. So I hope that man from the wireless has not bred.
But I would never go as far as to say that fools should be denied the right to have children, or demand they be sterilised.

I could be wrong but in my experince, all the incest that I know of occured to kids who had hetrosexual parents. Never heard of incest coming from a gay or lesbian couple. So what natural about that?
Key: Complain about this post
