Things are always rough in there, I wish I'd never even started writing for the Post, I wish I'd never volunteered to help then I'd never have got lumbered with Shazz's job, I really wish the Post would die

No I've got enough staff to put it together but it's the picky pedants that stalk me on a thursday pointing out all the faults, none of them glaring, it's a bloody thankless job, no one sees the hard work that goes on behind the scenes all they want to do is pick, you know no-one has said thank you to us for keeping the Post going, all we get are complaints

Probably because Shazz just carried on regardless. It was only when she became too ill to continue that her true worth was realised. Don't let it happen to you too.

I think pretty much the "staff" know Reef will drop it as soon as possible. And so do the nit-pickers.

Like much of the real world, there's the 1 or 2% that do, 5% that pick, whinge and moan, and the rest that simply don't care either way. "Been there and done that". Sad to see h2g2 becoming such a mirror of R/L.

You know, it's really odd that I've been carrying on here non-stop since September (when I got back from summer hols) and haven't noticed a single bit of this LW stuff. Perhaps this is the reason, but I believe that there is no way hootoo can be headed for disaster. We're all still here, and we all still care, I hope. Let's carry on doing what we do best and be a part of this Guide. Only then will we stay as a functioning community. If we all give up and start feeling sad then how will that accomplish anything?

I'm still a relative newbie here, but I do feel like a part of this community. And maybe it's just mindless optimism born out of naivete, but I think we're actually headed the *right* way - continuing to make the guide (by which I mean the EG, the UG, and the community that surround them) even better.

I am sad for the people who have left and I am sad that circumstances have driven them to leave. But as long is it is in my power to stay here I will. If I am the last person left online I will be the one picking up the pieces. Because I care and everyone on this thread cares and everyone who has ever made any contribution to h2g2 surely cares. If the fact that I am here trying to make sense of it all instead of doing my math homework means anything, well, that's what I'm doing. Because we all need to drag ourselves out of depression and get ourselves and our online identities operational again. If we don't, who will? And how can we show The Powers That Be that this is *our* site and that we've made something of it if we don't get off our arses and do something productive *now*?

If that is how you feel about the Post then I think the sooner someone else takes it over the better.

As I said I feel that now the ACE's are being used as a battering board for everything that is wrong with hootoo. I also feel that we can't possibly have the respect of other researchers, this is because when I first went in to the WJH thread no-one wanted to listen. If they had listened, at that point, instead of comparing me to LW the whole thing would not have escalated as it has.

why not ban them yes it has been said a hundred times its a free site unless its realy extreem they cant amend the rules any one antgonising other reserchers useing foul language etc will be band stop them beeing able to re access the site untill informed by e-mail that they can

the only people who would be botherd are the one's that have the sole purpos of comeing on to cause trouble
