Michele those sound awesome! Do you make it with regular dill pickles or do you do the pickling and add it in then?

It's easy Batty:

1. You purchase a VERY LARGE JAR of whole dill pickles at Sam's Club, Costco or somewhere like that. You will need approx. 6 cups of suger and 1 medium bottle of tobasco.

2. You pour out all of the pickle juice. (keep the jar - you will be using it!

3. Cut above pickles into 1" slices

4. Using above jar layer suger/tobasco/pickle slices in 5 - or 6 layers until you have everyihing in the jar. Wipe all suger off of jar neck. Replace lid (tightly). Lay the jar on it's side on your countertop. Let the jar sit all day, (at least 8 hours) rotating every now and then as you walk by. The dry suger and pickles work together and make a whole jar full of juice again. Once opened, keep pickles in fridge. They will last probably for a good 6 months. (however - if you like them, they will be gone in a month!)

Gurkins l love 'em. Ever had Kosher dills. Not to sour soas to leave a permanent frown on your face. And whlst we'er on the subject. Ever had pickel pepper juice with turnip greens. Now Southern Eating. Being from anywhere but The South In America has it's disadvantages. True the south has it's disadvantages.
