Were my my instructions as clear as mud, then? I'm still happy to go over them with you when I see you next, though.

..pssst Zarquon...I'm not sure AR1 is able to copy & paste yet.
My instructions just seem to confuze-a-late people.
AR1, please forgive me if I've mis-spoken. It's just that I
want to see you as happy as we can make you!

My special sweet Pandora BAT
You are so right. I do not know how to cut and paste.
But Yippee!!!!
I have worked a way round it.
I have befriended AlsoRan1 on my new page!!
Now please tell me that I am very clever, that I have used the grey matter that I have left, and that it is much easier than doing all the other things that I had to do!!. As I result of another sttroke of luck - reading about the three Popes and the schism and finding a letter that I had written on the subject, I was able to access my old home page and I was thus able to befriend myself. You must admit that that is lateral thinking a la de Bono!1..
I had hoped to talk tonight by the telephone - my normal line that I can hear on - has gone on the blink so there is no phone and no TV. Apparently they are updating soft ware if you please. So shall keep the pleasure for later in the week.
My dearest love to you and sleep well when you get to bed.

Glad you're back AR1 - I like the slight change in your name, too - Smiling just sounds like you, as you are always so pleasant and I can just see you smiling as you read and post here.

Smart as a whip! Wonder why nobody else thought of that? ...the mother of invention...
Today (Tuesday) I shall be otherwise occupied. ...So, don't call today! What do you mean you're phone & TV aren't w*rking!!
And...while we're at it...why were you & K. allowed to go past the bomb in the road but your g.daughter et.al were not allowed to come past to you?All sounds very UKish to me.
Ohmyhell! A bobmb!?!??

I've actually got a bomb story...
For several years, my stepdad managed the apartments we were living in, Towards the end of our time there (I think the summer before Tom and I got married?) there was a particularly unpleasant eviction... (Wasn't too pleasant *before they got evicted--we got our tires slashed, the car got keyed, the obligatory foul language, and I believe these were some of the people that wrongfully said that Daddy Bob was on the sex offenders list--you know, the one that the police department keeps on registered sex offenders) After the people left, Mom went in to assess the damages. I don't remember what all they'd done to the place... But Mom came out with this thing that turned out to be a gunpowder bomb She got scolded by our friends on the police force, because if the thing had had a certain type of switch (a mercury switch, I think) tilting it could've made it go off They said, judging by how it was designed, the plan must've been to put it under a car near the gas tank.

My very dear Shea nd TJ big
I have missed you and missed you and missed you!!.
I know that once before you all laughed when I called you all my family - but you really are!/
I hope that you are both keeping well. I still hope that I shall be able to come to the States next year. My youngest son who is on a ranch in Texas says that he is having wheelramps put in where they are needed and also having a wheelchair fitted onto a saddle.
It will be really peculiar to ride a horse in a wheelchair!.
My eldest granddaughter has just had a wonderful "bush-wedding" in the northern Transvaal. They flew over last week and managed to find the time to come and visit their Grannie and show her the wonderful photogr[pahs. They were superb!!
Fond to you both
AR1 .
Thanks for the compliment about the grey matter. I am pleased that it still functions occasionally!!

My dear Lady Scott,
thank you for the welcome. I can assure you that I was NOT smiling for the last ten days. Scowling, disappointment and I might add sometimes a very very cross Also Ran was the order of the day!!. So I really think that smiling is a misnomer. I hope you notice that I manmaged to find a few lost marbles in order to find my old home page. I thought that was very "clevaire! for an old bird like me!
What news of your Amy? Is she enjoying England? I still remember that I promised to take her to a concert if and when we met.

Ah Ha! my dear doubting Pandora!!
The"bomb" waws whatever sort of explosive packed in a lunch box and hidden in the hedge. The reason why my granddaughter was not allowed to come through was basically because they would have had to stay in the flat until the bomb dispossl squad had come down from London amd they were due to go out to dinner and the theatre in London. Whereas K and I stayed at our friend's house until the blomb disposal squad had come all the way out from London and disposed of it. I think that it was only a little bomb, and quite honestly I never gave it at a thought. But it seems as if the pople whose home is being targeted have had a lot of unpleasant things done to them. It seems that the people who hare targeting them come dressed in hoods and bblaclavas very KKK!
And there was I going to phone today Tuesday. Not to worry I shall do it tomorrow Wed. the 30th - hoping I can find the necessary!!.
K and I went to London today. We had a good run in and when we eventually returned home had a little shopping spree. Unfortunately my TV has gone on the blink and they are not going to be able to come and fix it up until Friday. The telephone is also sulking. I suppose it could be batteries somewhere!!.
Fondest to you me darlin'

Actually, technical stuff, since I just barely understand it (a definate non-!) I can explain pretty clearly. I'm pretty sure Lady Scott or Shea or pheloxi can testify to how much I can muddy the waters trying to explain other stuff though

A trip to Texas?
I shall look forward to hearing all about that!
As for all the stuff I leave that to H and No2 son. But if we lose our connection, I'm straight on the blower to NTL telling them to get us reconnected! I start getting all shaky if I can't check my conversations

And a very big back to you, my friend!
TJ and I are both well, thank you ... and very close to getting his CPAP machine to take care of his sleep apnea!
If you come to the States next year, will you be visiting your NY son? is there a chance we could meet up with you somewhere? That would be wonderful! I'd love to take you through the Metropolitan Museum of Art (my very favorite museum!).
I've been trying to picture how they'd put a wheelchair on a horse ... even a "wheelchair saddle", but I can't imagine it!
I'm so glad to hear from you again! Please feel free to email any time you'd like to chat!
Love and

Amy, I'm sure that often showing someone is better than telling. What do they say:
I hear and I forget
I see and I remember
I do and I understand!
