Have you ever made elderflower cordial?
I have for about three years. It was so good, and the bathroom smelt soooooo fantastic whilst the elder flowers were steeping in the bath.
Now I can no longer make it as I have a permanent bathlift in the bath. Botheration.
Now what is elderberry wine?

You have been a for ages as I realised a couple of weeks ago. As I said, the first time I met you was at the Autuumn Festival and I knew pretty soon that I had found a super friend.

Brilliant idea for my hooch. I shall rustle out today and get me a big washtub to make the elderflower cordial - a delicate "refeened" drink for frail old ladies.

I have always known you had black hair (indignant tone)
I was just under the impression - possibly false - that the queen Mum did not!. Hence my amusement.

Lots happened this weekend. I am still in a state of shock about it. I am going to try and write about it in my journal.

Hi, Lady Scott,

What a lovely idea - a fruit smoothie. The problem is that the soft fruit is in high season now, and I have been regaling in it - plus my birthday cake and sugar free (I don't believe them!!) Plus lovely cold Spanish (beer) which I love!!. The result is that 5 lbs of the 28 I have lost have stealthely slipped on again. !! Horrors.

So now I am back to my simple diet of rice and dhall. I tickle them up with Taramasalata, Houmous and Tapenade. I like all of them but I prefer lovely fruit, but it is obviiously very high in sugar and my daily "blood lettings" have risen to interesting heights!!. I really do LOVE lucious dark red cherries, soft juicy peaches, delicious nectarines, ripe melons and cantaloupe. The problem is I can never stop myself gorging on them!. Oh dear!. Anyway, I hope that I shall be able to shed the lbs before the cherry season is over.
The other day I bought California . It seems a very long way to send them.
