Dearest Pandora
You must have been indulging in your favourite elderflower mash before you sent me FOUR emails!!. Did your head ache?
Of course I shall be soooo happy to welcome you when you come on your world tour next year. I would not say that where I am going to live is the the gayest place on earth, but Kent is the most beautiful county and being so close to London is really full of history. Which I am sure you are very interested in.
Maidstone is close to Canterbury, and Rochester - which was very important in the life of Charles Dickens. They have a Dickens festival every year. I wanted to go last year but realised that in a hand pushed wheelchair it was out of the question.
I am now going to have great fun choosing carpets, curtains and light fittings.
Very much

Hi my honey, big
I am sorry that I did not see this posting. If you like cherries, peaches melons etc. you will have to come in the summer. Let us plan your visit now.
What are you interested in - apart from elderflower wine? They grow hops in Kent and the smell of the hops when they are gathering them is something out of this world. Kent is also immensely historical being like the closest coastline to Europe so there are lots of famous places where countries decided to try and defeat one another. I am afraid that that does NOT interrest me too much, but I like to go to the old castles and see the way they lived.
How are you incidentally. You never did tell me why you left your log cabin. Was it a virtual one?
Fondest,
AR1

Hi Mrs. TJ, big
I did not realise that you were on vacation. I have sent you an email. I wonder if you got it.
I hope that you had a great time and a good rest. Sometime soon it is your wedding anniversary n'est-ce pas? Or have we passed it already? I hope not. Happy anniversary in either case.
I shall not bore you with too much news. Just to say that I hope you are both well.
I send you both lots of

We celebrated our anniversary while we were on vacation!
Sad to say, I haven't checked my email in a couple of weeks. I can't do it from here (I'm at work). I hope to get some time over the weekend. I look forward to reading your email!

Hi my honey,
Thank you for the SUPER email. Lovely to have your news.
I seem to be making huge decisions without anyone to talk them over with except my dear friends on hootoo.
I shall write about this latest one, but basically the firm would not give me a positive undertaking that I could have the SKY channel in my new flat. I knew that it waould be extremely difficult to live alone without the stimulation of both the Arts Channel and the sports Channel. So I told them that I could not sign the contract. So we are back to wquare one.
I had made the decision last week but the Board of the Company had a week to decide whether they would give me permission or not. When they said No., I also said No. So there we are.
Tomorrow I am going to meet a real live hootoo friend. I am very excited about it.
Fond to you and TJ

I'm sorry to hear that, AR1! Companies ... pah!
Since I was home sick yesterday, I got a chance to write a bunch of emails! I'm glad you liked yours!

That's a blow about Sky, they won't even consider a shared dish placed discreetly on the roof? I bet there are other residents who would like to have access to satellite tv. How about cable, will they let you have that, if it is available in your area?

Caerwyn dear,
thank you for your advice. I did actually do quite a bit of research into the problem before I decided. It would seem that the "Battle of the Giants" is well and truly on in the new developments. Also I suppose they do not want unsightly dishes on their beutiful new homes. Eventually someone will realise that being up to date with media information is important particularly for old biddys like me who cannot get around easily.
I have just had a questionnaire from Age Concern. One of the questions which they ask has five possible replies and one has to grade them. I pput IT top of the list because I know how important it is to me both to understand my computer and my TV. Cable sadly is just n-e there - or at least none of the companies I phoned knew anything about it. And I ma not into watching old cowboy films
Thanks all the same.

It seems strange that cable isn't available in that area. But I suppose it takes time to get them all laid.
We have cable and and have access to all Sky's channels through it. Although I do have to admit to watching the occasional western when ironing in the afternoons. We also have internet access through cable too.
One reason for Dad refusing to move somewhere more convenient is losing his internet and Sky access, so good for you putting IT at the top . Emailing his old muckers on a daily basis is really important to him. The only problem is, if he is out of action, then I have to email them all on his behalf!

...*waves at Caer...*See ya' at the Pub!
My Dear AR1,
I went out and bought a big ole' thing of cherries! They were go-ood too!
LOL....no, my cabin wasn't 'virtual'.
I sold it because I wanted some nice young couple to have a true shot at their 'dream home'! And that's exactly what happened. ...*does a happy dance...*
I am back into my family home, my family's second home actually. My parents made certain my sister & I each received a home. What a wonderful gift, huh? My parents sure loved us.
But, what's not to love?
Anyway, I don't know what I'll be doing after next Spring. I plan to ttravel in the Summer...so far I'm 'touring' New York, The Uk, several different towns. Then Denmark, S. A, back to Denmark then???? I don't know.
If I settle in the USA, I want just a small ranch, or even an underground home. I've also been looking into having a foam cottage (dome) put onto a piece of private land in Mexico. White sandy beaches......
This is the first time I haven't had a solid plan, or at least thought I did, for many years. 17 to be exact.
I just wanted to see if living in a log home was as wonderful as I'd thought it would be. It is. Was.
All the wild animals...sleeping in the woods...I loved it all.
I just don't know what I want to do next, other than write...I do that all the time...
I'm open to suggestions.
As for my 'likes'....I'd like to sit and talk! For hours on end.
Do you play chess?
I love the water....tall ships...sail boats...
I like comfort.
And... I must say, I AM THE best house guest....ever...I refuse to stay at anyone's house! All I need is the names of a few hotels
or park benches in your area.
Ooooooo, I'd like to go into an English Pub & see if anyone questions my Irish Brouge! See, I'm easily amused.
Oooooo and I Lo-o-ove naps.
I hope that doesn't sound like alot of trouble. I could do without the Pub. At least when you & I are together.
I can see it now...all the men fussing over you...me sitting off to one corner...Yep, I'm going to the Pub alone.

Hi all my friends, big bunches of es to everyone.
Please forgive my silence. I am trying to come to terms with quite a lot of things - and succeeding I think. I am off to London now for another critical medical appointment. Am also trying to redecorate the living room where the peeling wallpaper lends a a distincly unkept air to the room!. At the moment we are covered in wallpaper, the furniture is all over the place and I am slightly frenzied.
Fond love to you all
