Yeah, this is the right one. Anytime you don't know what to say, you could just say, "Well, did I ever tell you the story about how my car got in the living room?"
Sogni d'oro...
Peaceful Dragon (napping) Posted Mar 7, 2002
I could tell that one even if it wasn't true. Like the Irish. Wonderful storytellers, the Irish - I wish I could tell stories the way they do.

Arthbard Posted Mar 7, 2002
Well, yeah, I suppose...Though, I think the story would be more gripping if you actually had some sort of evidence that it was true...Like an unsightly tire mark on the carpet, for example.

Arthbard Posted Mar 7, 2002
I would certainly hope you didn't have any roadkill from when your car was in your living room.

Peaceful Dragon (napping) Posted Mar 7, 2002
If I was irish I probably did. A sheep, most likely.
Aye, doesn't it...
Peaceful Dragon (napping) Posted Mar 8, 2002
No, they don't have to, they get them into their stories in believeable ways anyway.
Aye, doesn't it...
Arthbard Posted Mar 8, 2002
Ah, okay. So maybe, "This sheep escaped from the farm and was out wandering the place. He managed to get into my apartment. What he didn't know was that somebody had put a car in there."
Aye, doesn't it...
Peaceful Dragon (napping) Posted Mar 8, 2002
Yes, something like that. They would use fifteen sentences instead of three, though. They'd tell the name of the sheep, whose it was, what the weather was like, things like that.
Aye, doesn't it...
Arthbard Posted Mar 8, 2002
Well, of course. I would have written more, but I didn't really want to.
Aye, doesn't it...

This seems like the place to go for pranks...

Yeah, they do seem to have quite a few. There's some more here, too

Yeah, some of these are pretty inventive. IGN hasn't done any of these in a while, but there are links to the older one's at the bottom.
Aye, doesn't it...
Peaceful Dragon (napping) Posted Mar 8, 2002
I'll take a closer look later... might find something even better than the car...
Aye, doesn't it...
Arthbard Posted Mar 8, 2002
Maybe, but I think few things in the world can compare to the shock of coming home and finding a car in your living room.
Aye, doesn't it...
Peaceful Dragon (napping) Posted Mar 8, 2002
Your *own* car...
Somebody who knew a guy who worked at the electricity company got help with threading a bicycle over a lamp post (using a small crane) once - that's a good one too.
