Well, Plato, I have been here now I think since ther beginning of August. Not very long, I guess.. I did have a life before H2G2 but I can't remember what it was. Some of it involved yoghurt. That is all I can remember...

Yes, yoghurt... All I can say is, don't get involved. There are some things you can't learn from books.

During the course of my life I have picked up many proverbs. Pearls, if you will, of wisdom. Nuggets, if you like, of sage advice. Dollops, if you prefer, of diction. Such as:

If you lend a policeman a fiver, don't expect the bin men to be early the next day.

A biscuit left in the long tall grass will surely bring wisdom to a wayward Stork.

Butter your hair on a Wednesday, and by Friday, the chickens will be dancing in the coop.

Yes, but hippos make great lovers, as Flanders
and Swann found out (or found in?).

I've always suspected that there's another me out
there that I can't see (my eyes are not great); there
may be whole galaxies that I just haven't noticed,
and won't notice till they come around some Sunday
morning to bash me in the head...)

Maybe you can see this other me, and can figure out
what he wants (assuming that it's a he), because I sure
don't!

You don't need to get off the bus, Light, there are lots of hippos on the baggage racks.

*Points at about ten or so happily sleeping hippos*

The bus company won't let them on the chairs or the floor as the inconvenience the movements of the other passengers. They are on their way to Basildon for the jazz festival, of course. Hippos love jazz. Art Pepper is a real favourite, but Thelonius Monk can have a soothing effect on their troubled minds.
