Your story of understanding Danish reminded me of an occasion years ago when the children were recovering from chicken pox. They were definitely out of the !contagious stage and had just lost all their scabs and so I decided to take them out for a drive to a lovely country park outside of Salisbury(Harare) so that they could have some nice fresh air and a run around.
Well a group of people started speaking in French and saying how discraceful it was that this mother was so irresponsible that she was bringing her children out in public when they obviously had an illness etc. etc. etc.I stood for it for some time, and then let fly in French that my children had had chicken pox etc. etc.
They disappeared with their tails between their legs and I was mightily pleased with the affair. !!
Thank you for remininding me of it.

Your children must have been tired of being (excuse the expression) cooped up with chicken pox. Some sunlight and fresh air were probably what they needed at that point.

Besides, there were probably no chickens way out in the country, so they couldn't catch chicken pox from your children.

The chickens in this dream had no human passengers--just other chickens. You'd think that with four of five chickens in a car, maybe one of them would figure out that turning the wheel would steer the car. Nope!
