a friend of mine years ago replied to a statement made by a chap in the local where our Buffalo lodge was held, to which "is he that daft ?" my friend said "when it comes to stupid, he's at the top of the A1! while everyone else is at the bottom" the bloke said "wow THAT must be daft"
all I was doing was nodding my head in agreement.
the A1 is a long motorway that runs down the centre of the country and was the old Roman road of the day for North to South travel
