It definitely has. The temps are well above freezing now. We're getting some rain. There was thunder and lightning a few hours ago, even.

It was quite warm last night, but the temperature dropped rapidly to freezing by bed time.

We woke this morning to freezing fog, which has now given way to glorious sunshine shining on the frosty grass.

I've woke to our first frosty roofs morningwe ain't done bad so far in my neck of the woodsunlike all the flooding on the west coast and south

It was very mild here today. I went around without gloves.

Yep, we got hit by a lot of snow, but the worst of it was to the south of me. We were supposed to get 8 to 10 inches of snow, but ended up with about 4. That means the 8 to 10 inches landed somewhere else.

It's unspeakably cold here, and has been for several days. Well, after all it's January.

We are due for a heat wave tomorrow, when the temps are supposed to go above freezing.

Take your time with the mansion in the Azores. Snowstorms have a way of closing down airports. I would love to fly to someplace warmer, but not if the airports have closed down.

When the cold weather gets the better of me, I sometimes cope by eating at the Rainforest Cafe. There's a jungle canopy overhead. There's a gold or bronze statue of a jungle god, with a waterfall in the background. There are numerous large aquaria full of colorful tropical fish.Every fifteen minutes the animatronic elephants come to life and trumpet. There are gorillas and tropical birds, as well as butterflies with a two-foot wingspread. I can forget about the frigid weather outside. Rainforest cafe was featured in the movie "Paul Blart, Mall Cop."

The food is fairly good, but a trifle overpriced. The ambience is what sells the place. The volcano dessert is spectacular, though. The waiters make a big deal of it. They stick candles or sparklers on the top and shout as they bring it to your table.

and I thought that was only in mc donalds etc with kids meals
